🌧️💙 Our Hearts Are Full of Gratitude! 💙🌧️

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who ventured out in the chilly, rainy weather to spend the evening with us for “The Estrogen We Forgot: Preventing UTIs, Urosepsis & Unnecessary Suffering.”

We know it would have been much easier to stay home, warm and cozy, so it truly means a lot that you chose to spend your evening with us! Your presence, thoughtful questions, and willingness to learn and have conversations about important health topics are what make gatherings like this so special.

I like how this place refuses to act small. It offers MRI scans, CT scans, outpatient surgery, and even hyperbaric oxygen therapy. That lineup sounds like a city medical campus, not a rural Colorado hospital.

Resilience Rising may have wrapped up, but the lessons we learned here in the San Luis Valley are traveling well beyond our community. 💚

This week, we were proud to share the project at the National Association for Rural Mental Health conference as part of a panel exploring creative approaches to rural mental health.

We joined two inspiring Colorado programs: Maddy Butcher’s Buck the Trend, which creates mental health conversations within ranching, farming and horse communities, and Cassie Stauch’s Synergy in the Service Industry, which is breaking down barriers to mental health support for food and beverage workers.

Three very different approaches, but a lot of common ground: trust matters. Belonging matters. And rural communities need multiple doors into support.

We came home inspired by Maddy and Cassie’s work—and proud that what we learned through Resilience Rising is contributing to a larger national conversation about rural mental health.
