🎨💙 A little paint, a little creativity, and a much-needed break from the books!

We had a great time at the SWTX Block Party, giving college and Early College students a chance to slow down, get creative, and enjoy a painting session in the middle of their busy schedules. Sometimes taking care of yourself looks like picking up a paintbrush and having a little fun! 🖌️✨

And the best part? These works of art will soon have a new home in the hallways of VVRMC, adding a little color and creativity from our local students to our hospital. ❤️🏥

VVRMC Welcomes Our First Fourth-Year Medical Student! 🩺

Val Verde Regional Medical Center is excited to welcome Conrado Jimenez, a fourth-year medical student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, for a four-week Family Medicine rotation at VVRMC.

Conrado is pictured with Dr. Aurelio Laing, who is also a proud Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center graduate.

We are especially excited to welcome medical students to VVRMC as we continue preparing for our Rural Family Medicine Residency Program in partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Providing future physicians the opportunity to train in Del Rio is an important step toward building a stronger physician pipeline and expanding access to healthcare in our community.

We’re proud of the progress being made and excited about the future of medical education right here in Del Rio.
