A heartfelt thank you to the Rotary Club of Downtown DeLand for their generous support of The Good Samaritan Clinic and for the many grants awarded throughout our community at this year's annual dinner.

We are honored to be among the organizations chosen to receive support, and we are continually inspired by Rotary's commitment to service above self. Their generosity helps strengthen local nonprofits, expand opportunities, and improve the lives of countless individuals and families across West Volusia.

Thank you for investing in our mission and in the organizations that make our community a better place for all. 💙💛

If you woke up tomorrow with severe dental pain, which treatment would you choose?

For many uninsured adults in our community, the answer isn't that simple. Cost often determines their care.

That's why we're raising $15,000 this June to provide essential dental services through The Good Samaritan Clinic.

Every gift helps restore smiles, relieve pain, and restore lives.

Imagine living with a constant toothache.

Imagine trying to work, sleep, eat, or care for your family while dealing with pain that never seems to go away. For many uninsured adults in our community, this is a daily reality.

This June, The Good Samaritan Clinic is proud to recognize Dental Health Month with our "Restoring Smiles, Restoring Life" campaign. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to provide essential dental care for uninsured adults throughout West Volusia County.

Dental care is about much more than a smile. It affects a person's overall health, confidence, ability to work, and quality of life. Unfortunately, many of the patients who come through our doors have delayed treatment for months—or even years—because they simply cannot afford the care they need.

Your support can provide:

• Dental Exams & X-Rays – $100
• Fillings – $125
• Cleanings – $250
• Extractions – $500
• Dentures – $3,000

Every treatment represents more than a procedure. It represents relief from pain, restored confidence, and the opportunity for someone to move forward with dignity.

Together, we can help our neighbors regain their health and their smiles.

Thank you for believing in the mission of The Good Samaritan Clinic and for helping us restore smiles, restore health, and restore lives.

A smile is more powerful than we sometimes realize.

For many of our patients, dental pain affects far more than their teeth. It can impact confidence, eating, sleeping, job opportunities, overall health, and even the willingness to smile or speak in public.

At The Good Samaritan Clinic, we meet people every week who have been living with discomfort and embarrassment simply because they could not afford dental care.

Through our “Restoring Smiles. Restoring Lives.” campaign, we are working to change that — one patient, one procedure, and one smile at a time.

Your support helps provide exams, fillings, cleanings, extractions, dentures, and relief from chronic dental pain for uninsured adults in West Volusia County.

Together, we are restoring more than smiles.
We are restoring confidence, dignity, and hope.

Donate today and help us reach our $15,000 June goal. ❤️

🌿 Volunteers Make It Happen 🌿

When our clinic is quiet, our volunteers never stop finding ways to help.

This summer, Rhett, a Florida State University student studying Pre-Med, has been spending part of his break volunteering with the Good Samaritan Clinic. Recently, he teamed up with Lorna, one of our dedicated volunteers of more than 15 years, to assemble benches for Mary's Garden.

It's a beautiful reminder that caring for our community takes many forms. Whether it's helping patients, building a garden, or lending a hand wherever needed, volunteers like Rhett and Lorna make a lasting impact.

Thank you, Rhett, for spending your summer serving others, and thank you, Lorna, for your many years of faithful volunteer service. We are grateful for both of you!

🌸 Don't forget to join us for the Mary's Garden Open House on June 30 as we celebrate this special place of reflection, healing, and hope.

Happy National Donut Day! 🍩🦷

Today we’re celebrating one of America’s favorite sweet treats — while also remembering the importance of healthy smiles!

At The Good Samaritan Clinic, we know that dental health is about balance. Enjoy the donut… just don’t forget to brush, floss, and take care of your teeth afterward. 😁

Unfortunately, many uninsured adults in our community go without regular dental care simply because they cannot afford it. Through our “Restoring Smiles. Restoring Lives.” campaign, we are working to provide exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, dentures, and relief from dental pain for patients in West Volusia County.

So enjoy your sprinkle-covered favorite today — and if you’d like to make a difference for someone in need, consider supporting our June Dental Campaign.

Every donation helps restore health, confidence, and smiles. ❤️

For nearly 19 years, Dr. Dale Batten has been part of the heart of The Good Samaritan Clinic. The picture is of Dr. Batten and Becky Morey (our administrator) at our 2024 Medieval themed gala. What a great sport!

From the very beginning of our clinic’s journey, Dr. Batten has generously shared his time, leadership, compassion, and unwavering support for our mission. Over the years, he has served as our Dental Director, cared for countless patients, sponsored events, and continuously invested in the health and well-being of our community.

Dr. Batten is not only respected in the dental profession — he is deeply admired throughout West Volusia County for his servant heart and commitment to giving back. Through his involvement with Rotary and many other community efforts, he has helped make a lasting impact on the lives of so many.

As we celebrate Dental Health Month and our “Restoring Smiles. Restoring Lives.” campaign, we want to recognize one of the people who has helped make those smiles possible for nearly two decades.

Thank you, Dr. Batten, for believing in this clinic, supporting our patients, and always showing up for this community. We are grateful for you.
