From the Kiwanis Club...
We hope you enjoyed the Star Spangled Spectacular Family Fun Day at Memorial Park.

Thank you to our partners, Delano Chamber of Commerce and the Majestics Car Club, for their part in making the event a success. The goal was to celebrate the 250th birthday of our country and to keep the event affordable and fun, especially for the kids. We had free pony rides, free petting zoo, free bounce houses, and free foam cannon. In addition, the watermelon eating contest, the pie eating contest, and the hula hoop contest were all free to participate in with nice prizes for the winners. Thank you to the Delano Police Dept. and the Explorer scouts for controlling the entry and parking.

And following the event was the community fireworks show. We think it was one of the best ever! A great way to end the night's celebration. Thank you to the City of Delano!

All of this was possible because of the wonderful sponsors.

We had another amazing Friday with El Gallito 1010 y Radio Lobo con la Cuadrilla de la semana. Today we sponsored at La Jolla Cold Storage. A special thank you to Juvenal Montemayor Sr. and Juvenal Montemayor (son) for allowing us to be part of this beautiful event. Thanks also for the tour at the cold storage. We now have a better understanding of how it works. Last but not least thank you for sending us back with grapes. They were delicious.

It was an honor to welcome Andrae Gonzalez, candidate for State Assembly, to our facility today.

During his visit, he had the opportunity to learn more about the services provided by Delano District Skilled Nursing Facility and Gloria Nelson Center Family Clinic. He was impressed by the wide range of care and support we provide to the rural communities of Delano and the surrounding areas, and by our commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of our residents and patients.
