You can Help get the horses to camp!!💕

Journey to the Cross, Rodeo Bible Camp 2026 less that two weeks away! This will be my fifth year as the instructor of the Horsemanship event. This event gives students that do not have their own horse the opportunity to come to this life changing camp. My first year we had one amazing student, every year the enrollment has grown! This year is so incredibly special to me as my niece is coming Camp this year!!!🎉 She is also letting me take her horse Kiowa to camp to help teach the six students that are registered for horsemanship this year, what a blessing💕
Thing that we cover in Horsemanship are:
- Grooming and basic horse care, which includes stall cleaning!
- Haltering, leading and tying
- At liberty ground work including, awareness, self-regulation, communication, reaction vs response and social/emotional intelligence; the ability to be present and aware of how your energy is affecting you and your horse, a skill set that can be taken out of the horse pen and into life!

There are two ways you can help! The first and most important is intercessory prayer, lifting up the needs and concerns of others to God. Please pray for JTTC 2026, the resources needed, the livestock, the campers and the camp team.
Financial: below are the cost related to bring horsemanship horses to camp for the students:
Coggins for two horses-$180
Hay and feed- $150
Diesel- $250

Fly spray/vet and grooming supplies-$50

Help get the Horsemanship Horses to Journey to the Cross Rodeo Bible Camp 2025! I’m very excited for camp this is year! It is my third year leading the Horsemanship Event, we’ve grown from one camper the 1st year to 6 campers this year!!! I think what has humbled me the most is that two previous campers are bringing their younger siblings with them to learn about Horsemanship and Jesus this year💕 They are already proving their commitment “To stay the course” and bringing someone along side them. What a blessing! My financial need this year is for the care and custody of two donated horse: Coggins Tests: $170, Hay $120, Fly Spray and grooming supplies $50, stall shavings $100 and truck and trailer fuel $300. to support the theme of camp, Stay the course and stay fully committed, horsemanship will be emphasizing self and environmental awareness and growth in relationships with your horse, others and Christ. Every year at camp we center our messages, around a theme God has lead. This year we are introducing the theme of "Stay the Course."
Staying the Course means no matter if you are walking through good times or hard times, you know you can stay the course because your feet are planted firmly on Christ foundation. But what does that mean? Well that means we must create patterns in our daily life, that no matter in the hardest seasons of our life, we choose courage. No matter in the highest season, we choose surrender to God. But in order to get to that place, we must become steadfast and at peace. This comes through commitment, pressing on and to take hold of God and our faith, and our actions.
Over the next month we are going to take small dives into how this is going to play out practically in our daily life!

Thank you Journey to the Cross Rodeo Bible Camp for giving this Barn Mom, that is currently barnless, a space to pour out her spiritual gifts and to work within my God given assignment. Life lessons, if your horse needs its stall cleaned and your shovel is as big as you, you still get to clean your horses stall ❤️
