Dr. Tony Willcox graduated with Academic Excellence from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine and went o
n to train in China — working across five hospitals, including Yueyang and Shuguang Hospitals in Shanghai, and studying at Anhui University of Chinese Medicine in Hefei — deepening his skill and knowledge in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. He holds a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a Clinical Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (D.A.O.M.), and a PhD in Acupuncture from Anhui University of Chinese Medicine. With more than two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Tony served for seven years as the acupuncturist for the NHL's Florida Panthers medical team (2007-2014) and worked with the Blackzilians UFC fight team (2012–2016), caring for elite professional athletes. He has also received private instruction from Dr. Shi Xue Min, a revered master of acupuncture honored as a national treasure by the Chinese government and featured in the documentary "9,000 Needles." Nationally double board-certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Dr. Tony also studied Mandarin Chinese to better understand classical herbal formulas. He has been recognized by Newsmax Health as one of the Top 100 Integrative Medicine Physicians and co-authored published acupuncture research in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease & Parkinsonism (2019).
