Following certain illnesses, injuries, or medical events, individuals may experience challenges with speech, language, cognition, voice, or swallowing. Speech-language pathologists can play an important role in helping patients work toward improvements in these areas.

Being able to express a need, participate in a conversation, enjoy a meal more safely, or communicate with loved ones can have an enormous impact on quality of life.

Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families who carry their memories, and the first responders, service members, healthcare professionals, and everyday citizens who responded with extraordinary courage and selflessness.

We also remember the unity and compassion that emerged in the days that followed, a reminder of the strength we can find in standing together.

Today and always, we honor their memory. We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙
