High school interns day out with the daughter of a most amazing friend ! Out with the Moomoo’s doing prenatal visits in our community.

One of her questions was , does the herbal stuff work ? I loved that unprompted 2 of our mamas first thing said was “I feel so much better !!!” ….No heartburn , better sleep , more energy for one!!

Herbal / Nutrient support and “food medicine” works yall!!

Midwives have the privilege to get to know the families we serve. Midwives hands know those bellies and babies! What a blessing to serve the mamas and babies. 💗

Emily and her family are one of our sweet Dulce Families who has had an incredibly difficult postpartum. With late onset complications at 2 weeks this family does not have a village locally! We are hoping to provide meals and help with the unexpected medical costs of her longterm recovery.

You should NEVER have to ask permission or fight for what you want in your OWN birth. That’s insane.

And yet, most women willingly walk in to a system that already has a pre-determined birth plan laid and going against what they suggest almost always requires aggressive advocacy.

Your energy during labor is much better spent relaxing and allowing the physiological process to unfold and actually enjoying labor. Not answering stupid questions or saying “No” repeatedly.

I originally wanted a natural birth in the hospital and realized that isn’t really their thing and I wasn’t about to be treated like a number or become a statistic so…

I chose homebirth. Not once but 7 times.

Fun fact about our 9/30 birthday buddies . BOTH babies weighed 7lbs 10oz and BOTH mamas initials were A.D. . They were born on the same day but way spaced out so the Dulce team could rest ! 💕🙌🏼
