Geaux Seven Blue Star Moms is honored to host our Su***de Prevention Seminar & Support Event on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Central City Hall.

We will be joined by accredited guest speakers from the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention Louisiana Chapter (AFSP Louisiana) and Louisiana 988 for a morning focused on education, prevention, support, hope, and the resources available to those who need them.

Yes.

Someone spent years learning how to carry something alone. And somehow, here, with us, they decide they don't have to anymore.

We get to watch that moment. The exhale. The shoulders dropping. The thing finally said out loud after all that silence.

We will always remember what an absolute honor that is. 🩷

Sometimes, the exhaustion isn't just from the hours you work.

It's from how many times you have to shift who you need to be throughout the day.

Different clients need different things from you.

Different roles require different parts of you.

But carrying all of those roles, day after day, is heavy.

And while therapists are trained to hold space for others, we can forget that we need spaces to hold space for us too.

Somewhere along the way, it's easy to lose sight of the person underneath all of those hats.

So let this be your reminder that you don't have to carry everything by yourself.

You deserve places where you can take a few of those hats off, exhale, and simply be human.

Because before you're a therapist, you're a person. And that person deserves the same care, compassion, and support you so freely give to everyone else. 💛

🥁 Next group topic 📣
As I begin to wrap up my summer counseling group, I would like to begin the process of setting up a Fall group. The Fall group will be for kids from 1st-3rd grade that struggle with anxiety. I will explore with them what anxiety is, how it makes our bodies feel and ways for dealing with it. If you are interested, please reach out. I will only accept 4 kids into the group! Group will take place in August or possibly September depending on how fast or slow spots fill up! Please share!!! 🤔 💭
