Tina Michelle Aldridge Mooneyham

August 4, 1964 – June 1, 2026

Tina Michelle Mooneyham, of Denison, Texas, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 1, 2026, at the age of 61. She was born Tina Michelle Aldridge on August 4, 1964, in Sherman, Texas.

Tina spent her life in service to others — first to her community, and always to her family. As a young woman she worked at Texas Instruments and later at Barrett’s Drug Store, but it was her years with the Denison Independent School District that revealed her heart. At Golden Rule Elementary she worked as a teaching aide, first in the Head Start program and for many years after in special education, where her patience and warmth made a lasting mark on the children she helped.

In the decades that followed, Tina built a different kind of community behind the counter, managing gas stations across the area for more than twenty years — the last ten of them at Crawford Quick Mart, where she became a familiar and beloved face to everyone who walked through the door. She had a gift for making people feel known, and her regulars were as much her family as anyone.

Above all, Tina was a mother. After losing her husband, Roy Wayne Mooneyham, when her boys were very young, she raised her two sons largely on her own, with a strength and steadiness that defined her. She did not do it alone, though — her parents, Curless and Delores Aldridge, helped raise the boys for many years, and that family bond ran deep through everything she did.

Tina is survived by her son Joshua Mooneyham of Miami, Florida, and her son Matthew Mooneyham of Sherman, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wayne Mooneyham; her parents, Curless Lynn Aldridge and Delores June Aldridge; and her brother, Anthony Aldridge.

A viewing will be held Monday, June 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison. A celebration of Tina’s life will be scheduled at a later date.

Flowers are welcome. For those who wish to remember Tina in another way, the family asks that contributions be made in her honor to the Life is Good Kids Foundation, a cause close to her heart — or that you simply share a memory of Tina with someone who loved her.

James Richard "Jim" Allen, a proud Texan, devoted patriot, Navy veteran, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in 2026 at the age of 78.

Born in Sherman, Texas to Dorothy (Moser) Allen and James Allen, Jim spent a lifetime embodying the values he held dear: faith, country, and hard work. He was, by every measure, a man's man—strong in conviction and never at a loss for an opinion, particularly when it came to Texas, America, or the Dallas Cowboys.

In 1967, Jim joined the United States Navy and began a distinguished twenty-year military career. Serving aboard nuclear submarines, he traveled the world; an experience he considered one of the most important in his life. He retired from the Navy in 1987 with great pride in his service. Following his military career, Jim worked as an insurance adjuster and later contributed to the design of airport baggage return systems.

Jim loved music and was known to break into song whenever the opportunity presented itself, whether at karaoke or his first date with his wife. He was a steadfast supporter of his country, a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan through good seasons and bad, and a committed member of Georgetown Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and James Allen; his sister, Judy; his brother, Joel; and his stepdaughter, Stacey (Colberg) Patrick.

Jim is survived by his wife, Janie (Martha) Allen; his daughters, Dr. Mary Bowles (Lonnie); Jeani Chamber, Jennifer Knight, stepdaughter Joey Ridenour (Ryan); stepson Tim Young; stepdaughter Mitzi Young; niece Dori Clark, 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members, dear friends, and Jim's special Visiting Angel, Lela.

Those who knew Jim will remember his unwavering patriotism, his love of a good song, and his unmistakable Texas spirit. His family finds comfort in imagining that he has already set up a man cave with the Cowboys playing on the big screen, cracked open a cold one, struck up a conversation with a fellow veteran, and made himself right at home in his favorite shoes.

Those who loved Jim take comfort in knowing that, in the arms of his Savior, the wounds and heartaches he carried in this life have finally been healed and their gratitude for the enormous support by the VA and the compassionate, loving care by the Visiting Angels cannot be expressed enough.

Funeral service will be at Georgetown Baptist Church on Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. with graveside service at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Georgetown Baptist Church Building Fund.

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Byrd Jennings, who left this world on May 18, 2026, at the age of 91. Byrd was born on January 20, 1935, in Sulphur Springs, TX, to Thelma Lee and Ida Valerie Jennings. His journey through life was marked by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering spirit that left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Byrd's early years were shaped by the values instilled by his loving family. Though he faced adversity at an early age, losing an eye at just nine years old, Byrd's resilience and determination were evident in everything he pursued. After leaving Woodrow Wilson High School, he ventured into the world with dreams that would take him from the oil fields to the nightlife of Denison, TX.

On May 11, 1978, Byrd married the love of his life, Johnette (JJ), and together they blended their families into one big beautiful family, raising nine children in a home filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Their union was a testament to unwavering devotion, lasting 31 years until JJ's passing in 2009.

Byrd was a man of many talents and ambitions. He began his career working odd jobs through high school before embarking on a journey in the oil fields of New Mexico and Louisiana. His career took a significant turn when he joined Red Coleman's Liquor, where he rose to the position of Vice President and General Manager over a span of two decades. Byrd's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly when he and his beloved wife, JJ, opened their own liquor stores and convenience store in Dallas, TX. In 1985, their shared vision and dedication led to further success with the acquisition of The Electric Co. Phase II nightclub and several other establishments, including bars, restaurants, and a laundromat in Denison, TX.

Byrd's passions extended beyond his professional accomplishments. He was an avid sports enthusiast enjoying football, snow skiing, and golf. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas A&M Aggies, proudly supporting his daughter Wendy in all of her basketball endeavors. Despite losing an eye, Byrd's love for football never waned as he played semi-professional football with the Dallas Rockets for four years.

His booming voice and boisterous laugh were well-known, echoing through football fields, basketball courts, and family gatherings alike.

In retirement, Byrd found joy in the company of his extensive family, which includes his surviving sons, Mike Jennings and wife Cheryl, Jeff Massie and wife Maria, Chad Jennings, Grant Massie and wife Mindy, and daughters Wendy Hines and husband Chris, Jill Long, as well as his daughter-in-law Sheila Jennings. Byrd's legacy is lovingly carried forward by his 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of their grandfather's warm, welcoming nature. He is also survived by his lifelong friends Felton "Bones" Cochran, John Llewellyn, and Carolyn Bevers, longtime friends Phil and Barbara Moore, Big Joe and Kerry Williams, and many others.

Byrd was predeceased by his cherished wife JJ, brother Robert Jennings, sister Billie Ann Piner, daughter Stacey Pennington, and sons Brett and Brad Jennings. He is now reunited with them in eternal peace.

A man of community and faith, Byrd was a dedicated member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #85, where he forged lasting friendships and contributed to causes close to his heart. His kindness and generosity extended to the broader community, with Byrd supporting several causes, a testament to his enduring commitment to helping others.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to caregiver and longtime friend Gina Neal, as well as caregivers Melissa, Kensie, David, Heart to Heart Hospice, and Woodlands Place. Your unwavering support and compassion brought comfort and joy to Byrd's final years.
