On Monday 10/19 station 3 was dispatched at 12:08 hrs to the dirt portion of Locust Ave for a vehicle fire. Engine 301 responded and found a heavily involved car fire spreading into the woods. Fire was extinguished quickly and all units returned available

Station 3 was dispatched yesterday at 16:31 hrs for a single vehicle accident with roll over at the Barnwell/Bamberg county line on Hwy 70. Engine 301 responded to the scene as well as fire personnel. Barnwell county was also dispatched to the wreck sending Hilda fire dept to assist

Engine 301, Tanker 303 and fire personnel responded to the scene.

Station 3 was dispatched at 11:34 hrs yesterday to assist medic 2 with a medical call and LZ set up. Engine 301 and personnel responded to the scene as well as the landing zone

On September 11, 2001, when America faced unimaginable tragedy, courage answered the call.

Police officers ran toward danger. Firefighters climbed toward those who needed them. EMS and medical personnel worked tirelessly to save lives. Volunteers many with no badge, title, or uniform simply saw people who needed help and stepped forward to serve.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the Bamberg County Sheriff’s Office honors every life lost and every hero who sacrificed, served, rescued, comforted, and stood beside a fellow American.

Their example reminds those of us who wear the badge of something greater than ourselves: service is a responsibility, courage is a choice, and unity is our strength.

Different uniforms. Different roles.
One mission protecting and serving others.

To our law enforcement officers, firefighters, medical personnel, first responders, volunteers, and every citizen who answered the call that day:

🚨 GIVE WAY. SAVE LIVES. 🚨

When you see flashing lights or hear sirens approaching, every second matters. The Denmark Police Department reminds all motorists to remain alert and safely yield to emergency vehicles.

Move to the right when it is safe to do so, come to a complete stop when necessary, give emergency vehicles plenty of room, and never follow closely behind an emergency vehicle. Most importantly, stay focused and avoid distractions.

Police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel may be responding to someone experiencing the worst moment of their life. Your cooperation on the roadway can help us get there safely and quickly.

Please help us protect those who protect and serve our community.
