Most people believe heel spurs cause pain in the bottom of the heel. This is simply not true. This heel pain is caused by a tear or damage to the plantar fascial tissue that connects to the heel bone. 95% of patients can resolve this pain w/out surgery. If you suffer from this condition see a foot & ankle specialist. The longer this condition exists the more damage to the plantar fascial tissue, which obviously makes healing more difficult.
