Our leadership team hosted our monthly "Trauma-Informed Care Leadership Roundtable." The group engaged in thoughtful conversation focused on elevating patient care through trust, transparency and teamwork. We were honored to have our CEO, Matthew Bertagnole, and Divisional VP Joe Gallager join the discussion, reinforcing strong leadership support for trauma-informed practices.
A key theme throughout the conversation centered on how building trust and maintaining open, honest communication can make a meaningful difference in the patient experience. When patients feel safe, respected and informed, it can help reduce moments of escalation and support continued progress toward minimizing the use of restraints and seclusion. The team emphasized the importance of connection, consistency and early support in creating a more calming, therapeutic environment.
