Join our wonderful teacher Brittany Huehuexochitl Acosta for a dive into ancestral connection and remembrance on Sunday, October 25th from 5:30-7:30pm
This will be an educational and experiential herbalism class exploring the relationship between plants, ancestral remembrance and the traditional practices of tending to the dead. Rooted in Folk Herbalism, Plant Spirit Medicine and Traditional Medicine ways we will explore three categories of plant allies: plants associated with memory and remembrance, plants associated with offerings and connection, and plants associated with protection and cleansing.
Through this exploration students will learn how to begin or deepen their ancestral practices, including making offerings, cultivating relationships with their ancestors and understanding how to approach lineage soundings and ancestors in need of care and discernment.
We will learn how to tend to both our external/physical ancestral altars, and explore how ancestral relationships live within our own internal altar and world: through memory, emotions and the ways our lineages continue to move through us.
Students will have the opportunity to create a personalized ancestral flower essence blend from a curated selection of essences. This offers a tangible way to begin embodying ancestral practices with subtle plant spirit medicine and continue their work after the class ends.
Brittany Huehuexochitl Acosta is an Alchemical Hypnosis and Curanderismo Practitioner focused on emotional healing and lineage repair through traditional medicine.
