🚀 Weighted Cardio Burst Alert!🚀

Lately, I’ve been adding cardio bursts to my classes, turning up the intensity after breaking down movements. It’s a game-changer for getting that heart rate up and keeping everyone on their toes! 💪

Try this: integrate balance and core stability with cardio. Perform each exercise for 30 seconds, rest for 30, and repeat 4 times for a killer 28-minute circuit. Don’t forget to switch legs on the unilateral moves!

In honor of by the amazing LISA KAYE | Pilates & Functional Movement

Combining the FitBall with ankle weights and hand weights is a great way to challenge core stability and build strength. This series packs a punch with an emphasis on both. Using 5-8 lb hand weights and 3-5 lb ankle weights, combined with your FitBall, perform 8-10 of each on both sides. 🫶🙌

Tips on how to choose the right size FitBall👊🏻

Choosing the right size ball makes for more effective workouts and helps with alignment and posture. It also provides a better stability challenge. Here’s a general guide to find the right size FitBall:

1. Height and Ball Size:
- 55 cm: For those under 5’1” (I use this at 5’4”)
- 65 cm: Best for 5’1” to 5’8”
- 75 cm: Ideal for 5’8” to 6’2”
- 85 cm: Recommended for over 6’2” (If you’re in between, size down 😉)

2. Alignment is Key:
- Sitting: Feet flat, knees at 90 degrees, hips aligned.
- Side Lying: Your supporting arm should reach the ground with a straight line from head to heel.
- All Fours: Keep your head and tailbone aligned, hands under shoulders, knees under hips.
- Lying on Your Back: Maintain that 90-degree angle with knees over the ball.
- Standing: make sure you can maintain level hips if performing a unilateral exercise.
Get your FitBall size right for effective workouts and optimal posture! 💪✨
