Gary Lee Archuleta passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at his home in Commerce City,
Colorado.
He was 79 years old. He was born October 17, 1942, in Denver Colorado to Lawrence and Magdaline
Archuleta. He graduated from Westminster High School and attended the University of Colorado. He
married Victoria Muniz in 1962.
They soon started a family and had 6 children. They raised their family in Colorado and spent summer
vacations exploring the 4 corners of the state and the Rocky Mountains.
He spent his career and life helping and enriching the lives of others. He did this by bringing art, music,
and culture to the many local neighborhoods in the Denver area.
Gary’s most important work was as a volunteer. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and spent 48 years
sharing the Good News of God’s Kingdom. He also volunteered to help with any maintenance and/or
building work on local Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls. He wasn’t a skilled tradesman, but he and his
wife spent countless hours volunteering doing whatever work they were assigned.
Gary and Vicci loved travelling and meeting people from all over the world. A very special trip was to
Alaska for their 50 th wedding anniversary. They were joined by some of their children, grandchildren,
and friends. He was always the happiest when surrounded by his family and creation.
Gary’s other love was for gardening. His gardens would produce more vegetables than his family could
eat, and he was always happy to share his harvest with his neighbors, friends, and family.
He was a generous and hospitable man. He was kind and loving. If someone was in need, he felt
compelled to help. He couldn’t stand to see anyone suffer. He genuinely cared for all people and
especially for his family.
He will be missed and mourned by his surviving family.
Survived by his wife, Vicci. His children and their spouses; Holly-Ann Holland, Bernadette Archuleta,
Garrilee and Jeff Raffaeli, Aztlano and Alyona Archuleta, Rebekah and Joel Greer, Daniel and Shauna
Archuleta.
Grandchildren: Zephaniah, Jeffrey, Michal Maria, Phoenix, Desmas, Shiloh, Mateah, Athena, Lilly
He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brothers, and his sister.
