AAD 2026 was another fantastic meeting. I met up with new and old colleagues. Learned a bunch and also gave my two cents on the current trends. Hosted a laser seminar and did an advising session to push our field forward. Oh and let’s not forget about the samples we all lined up for!! 😂
Dermatology is an exciting field and our treatment modalities continue to grow! I will also be doing some major work for our urticaria patients moving forward so stay tuned for that!

What a great weekend to catch up with an old pal! Long post but hopefully this can be inspirational for some of you.
I've known this man since middle school my gosh! We are both immigrant families from Hong Kong and Taiwan, respectively. We went to Arcadia High school and Johns Hopkins for undergrad together. Thereafter we served 1 year with AmeriCorp City Year Los Angeles before embarking on our journey. Dr. Lai is now a full fledge Board-Certified Oral Maxillofacial surgeon while I am a Board-Certified Dermatologist.
I wouldn't say "We made it" yet as we're still young and early in our careers but we definitely have put in the work and sacrifices to be at where we are today. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻😎😎😎
And for those of you who are from Arcadia those after school and weekends were spent with Spencer at Times tutoring IYKYK.

Here I am enjoying some Vitamin Sea but still enjoying some sunshine! Being super sun cautious and sun aware doesn't mean you have to hide! Use those sunscreens!
My go-to is Isdin Eryfotona Tinted before my morning adventures and reapply every 2 hours using Neutrogena spray on sunscreen (or similar equivalents). 🌞🌞🌞

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory condition. Topical corticosteroids have been a mainstay of treatment for many years; however, there are other available alternatives.
For this patient, only 2 week of using a non-steroidal cream achieved significant reduction of itching and redness.
This shows the importance of bench research and clinical studies as they help push the field forward.
