Finding the right physical therapist can make all the difference. We're grateful for patients who trust us with their recovery and long-term wellness:

"From day one, Rachel listened to my concerns, established a comprehensive workout routine, and helped me develop a longer term plan beyond PT. I couldn't have asked for better care!"

At Blue Sky PT, our goal isn't just to help you recover from your current injury—it's to give you the tools, strength, and confidence to stay active long after physical therapy ends.

Thank you for the kind words and recommendation! 💙

🌟 Mid-Year Movement Check with Shawna Olsen, PT, MPT! 🌟

Halfway through the year — how’s your functional fitness looking? These aren’t fitness challenges, they’re independence checks you can do right now:

1️⃣ Can you get up from the floor without using your hands?
2️⃣ Can you balance on one leg for 10 seconds?
3️⃣ Can you reach overhead without arching your back?

If one of these feels difficult, your body may need a reset to prevent aches, injuries, or loss of mobility.

💡 Tip: Add quick mobility or balance exercises to your daily routine to keep moving confidently the rest of the year.

✨Provider Spotlight ✨

Today we’re featuring Blake, PT, DPT, ATC, whose skill and expertise keep his patients feeling their best!

• How long have you been working at Blue Sky?
"I have been working here at Blue Sky since June 2022, so 4 years!"

• What drew you to this career?
"I always knew I wanted to work in health care - at least since high school. After dabbling in various other settings after college including personal training, athletic training and emergency medicine, physical therapy eventually became the next obvious step."

• What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
"My favorite band is Green Day. In high school I dressed up as Billie Joe Armstrong (the lead singer). It was during an emo/punk phase."

• What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled - or a place on your bucket list?
"That is way too tough a question! I love traveling and visiting new places. In the past, my wife and I have had an incredible time in Thailand and Spain, and we’re planning to visit Hawaii (Maui) next. Also always love the food and culture in Mexico, and Colombia was also one of my favorites I’ve visited in the last 5 years as well."

• Coffee or tea?
"Can I say both? On a work day, I love an iced matcha in the summer, but I guess I lean coffee - iced, hot, latte with oat milk, black, I’m not too picky. I love the espresso machine we have at home, also the pour-overs I make at home as well."

• Cats or dogs?
"Historically I have always been a cat person, but dogs have grown on me since living in Colorado. Currently my wife and I don’t own either, but I am a loving dog uncle to many of my friends."

Struggling with balance or feeling unsteady on your feet? You’re not alone—and we’re here to help. 👣

Your gait (how you walk) and balance depend on a full-body connection between your brain, eyes, ears, muscles, nerves, and joints. When even one part isn’t working properly, it can lead to dizziness, instability, or difficulty walking.

Balance and gait disorders can be caused by things like past injuries, chronic pain, inflammation, or conditions such as arthritis, neurological disorders, or even inner ear issues. Factors like poor sleep, improper footwear, or vitamin deficiencies can also play a role.

The good news? Physical therapy can make a real difference. 💪
Our team will assess the root cause of your symptoms and create a personalized plan to help you improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence in your movement—so you can get back to walking safely and living fully.

Don’t wait to feel steady again—early treatment makes all the difference!

🌟 Mid-Year Movement Check with Shawna Olsen, PT, MPT! 🌟

Most people ignore pain for 6–12 months before getting help.

It’s July — halfway through the year. How’s your body feeling? That nagging knee, shoulder, or back pain you hoped would “just go away” might actually be a sign your body needs attention.

Mid-year is the perfect time to hit pause and check in:
✅ Are small aches starting to limit your daily activities?
✅ Are you compensating without even realizing it?
✅ Could simple mobility or strength tweaks prevent bigger issues later?

Your body is like your car — a checkup now can prevent a breakdown later. Don’t wait until fall activities, sports, or summer adventures get in full swing to notice the pain.

💡 Tip: Schedule a mid-year check with a physical therapist to identify the areas holding you back. A little attention now can mean a lot less pain and more freedom later.
