Looking for local community volunteers (kids and older adults) to participate in a physical therapy movement and walking analysis!
I’m looking for community volunteers who may be interested in coming to Regis University on the NW campus to work with Doctor of Physical Therapy students and faculty. Students will be examining participant movement and walking. The lab is on Tuesday, May 19th, from 1-4 pm. Community volunteers will work with the Class of 2028 DPT students so they can evaluate their walking and movements. This is a fun way for our community volunteers to interact with the DPT students so the students can practice movement and gait analysis.

We are looking for older adult volunteers aged 65 or older to participate in a walking analysis lab with the DPT Class of 2028. Community volunteers will work with a small group of DPT students under the supervision of faculty to complete a gait analysis examination. Participants will receive performance information.

We are looking for kids aged 2-8 years old to also participate in a movement and walking analysis in the lab with the DPT Class of 2028. Community volunteers will work with a small group of DPT students under the supervision of faculty to complete a movement and gait analysis. Kids and caregivers will receive information on their development with recommendations for PT-related interventions.

Please email me directly at [email protected] if you can participate. Thank you!

From Dr. Eigisti - As Dean of the School of Rehabilitative and Health Sciences, I invite you to join me in supporting JUST REHAB during Regis Gives. This collaborative initiative brings together the Regis University School of Rehabilitative and Health Sciences, the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students, RegisCARES clinicians, and Tepeyac Community Health Center. Through this partnership, we provide bilingual, culturally responsive physical therapy services directly at Tepeyac—a trusted center serving Denver’s Latino community.

Each year, residents in Denver’s underserved communities go without physical therapy, not because care doesn’t exist, but because it isn’t accessible. Barriers such as cost, language differences, and distance place essential rehabilitation services out of reach for those who need them most. As a result, treatable pain becomes chronic, minor injuries turn into lasting disabilities, and emergency rooms are burdened with conditions that a single clinic visit could have prevented.

RegisCARES clinicians deliver hands‑on physical therapy while mentoring DPT students, providing them with real‑world clinical experience. This partnership expands access to high‑quality rehabilitation services in underserved communities and prepares future physical therapists to practice with skill, compassion, and a commitment to equity and justice. Your support makes this work possible by funding the supervision and mentorship that train justice‑driven healthcare professionals and deliver life‑changing care to those who need it most.

Your gift, no matter the size, shows our students that you believe in them as leaders and change agents. Make your gift during Regis Gives and help us reach our goal. For a limited time, every donation will be matched dollar for dollar—up to $150,000—thanks to the extraordinary generosity of a friend of Regis.
