Our office server replacement has officially entered the history books. After years of faithfully storing our files, freezing at the worst possible moments, and mysteriously deciding that Tuesdays were optional, the old server has been retired to that big data center in the sky. The new server has arrived full of speed, confidence, and unrealistic expectations.
A few us took this opportunity to perform an archaeological dig in the front office and basement. While others removed the Association of Dust Bunnies that formed in a few dark corners.
By the end, we threw away multiple boxes and bags of random “we might use these” papers, several “How To” manuals for items we no longer have, obsolete tech (think 1980’s), and cables for devices that no longer exist. 🫣😬
