What a great day at Salute to Seniors!

Health fairs can sometimes become a little like grown-up trick-or-treating: grab a pen, collect a pill box, find a plush animal, and move to the next table. And yes, I brought pill boxes and plush animals too!

But this event felt different. I had meaningful conversations with seniors, caregivers, and fellow vendors about medication safety, prescribing cascades, and the many ways a clinical pharmacist can help beyond the pharmacy counter.

I may have juggled a few balls, but the real goal was helping seniors juggle fewer medication problems.

I left feeling proud, energized, and grateful for every person who stopped to talk. The giveaways may have brought some smiles, but raising awareness about how clinical pharmacists can support safer medications, greater independence, and healthier aging was the real prize.

Thank you to the Colorado Gerontological Society and everyone involved in Salute to Seniors for creating such a welcoming event. If we met at the fair, please stay in touch. And if someone you know feels overwhelmed by their medications, I would be honored to help.

2 weeks ago, I decided to take on something that scared me — indoor snow sledding! It might sound small, but it was a reminder that real growth begins when we lean into discomfort and take a few calculated risks. The same has been true for my business journey this year.
2025 has been a year of stepping out with confidence and seeing the results of that courage. Some of the highlights I’m proud to celebrate include:
• Welcoming my first several paying clients — turning vision into reality.
• Reaching 10 five-star Google reviews (thank you for the trust and encouragement!).
• Speaking at multiple senior living communities and health fairs about medication safety and health awareness.
• Sharing medication insights with a Parkinson’s support group and local audiences eager to learn how to manage their health safely.
• Giving my website a beautiful facelift to better reflect my mission and services.
• Appearing on a television interview that helped more people discover what pharmacist health consulting can do for them.

Every opportunity reinforced the same lesson: when you take risks and keep showing up with purpose, confidence follows.
As I look ahead, I’m filled with gratitude for 2025 and excitement for what’s to come. Here’s to even more courage, connection, and growth in 2026 — and to helping more people make informed, confident choices for their health.

I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity to meet so many wonderful businesses/people at the Adams County Aging Network (ACAN) monthly meeting! I even got a cute snowman Christmas tree Ornament, which will become part of my snowman Christmas decoration family!

At its core, ACAN's mission is:"To serve as a beacon lighting the way of the aging experience through the discovery and expression of every person's possibilities and to heighten the experience for all those who make the journey. They are a core agency that seeks to expand the health and well-being of seniors. I am so glad to work with such a wonderful organization!!
