Heading back to the gym soon? 💪
Just a little PSA: go easy on yourself to start! You can’t have expectations to put up what you lifted 8 weeks ago, have as much stamina or flexibility.
Ease into it and remind your body how to do those heavy lifts. You might need to start at a foundational level again to rebuild a little bit. AND THATS OK! Push yourself, yes, but don’t kill yourself right off the bat. :) It’ll come back in no time.
[Am I saying this to also make myself feel a little better? Yes...]
In other news, I’m getting so close to completing my personal training certification! Currently working on some fitness programs that I am REALLY excited about :) stay tuned!

Is this what your week has looked like in quarantine? 🙋🏼‍♀️
🚨 HOW TO STOP SNACKING 🚨
1.) Fill yourself up with nutrient dense food FIRST. Set yourself up for success in the morning by making a meal with solid nutrients. Foods higher in protein and fat will keep you fuller longer and quell the urge to snack later ;)

2.) Stay hydrated! 💧 It’s easy to confuse hunger with thirst. So drink a large glass of water and reevaluate ☝️

3.) Move. 🏃‍♀️ Staying stagnant reduces insulin sensitivity in the cells- meaning they feel like they’re not getting enough energy, so the body feels like it needs *more*! Movement increases insulin sensitivity, so you can actually utilize the energy you consume. Stop and do 10 jump squats, 10 pushups, and 15 sit-ups and see how you feel!

All I want is for everyone to experience the best out of life.
👋 I’m back and ready to roll after the last 3 months of checking my mindset and realizing that much of the energy I've put out has come from a place of lack, of fear, and of obligation. Feeling stretched far too thin amongst transitions & life's curveballs, so that nothing I created felt "right." So I had to stop, at least temporarily, and do some inner work.
At first I felt a lot of guilt. And then some anger. But eventually I realized I was in a place with my business that I didn't want to be, and I was confused because, "how could I hate something I'm so passionate about?" It took some time to overcome. So here I am now, having recognized the places I unknowingly held expectations for my creations, mindset, and life overall, and I've learned to release both the expectations and the resentment I held from the ones that remained unmet. .
Now that I've arrived at the peace & clarity I sought out, I am eager to continue offering valuable content that helps you understand your body so you can: lose weight, sleep better, digest better, feel better around food, AND SO MUCH MORE! ... all from a place of genuine passion & sincerity. ❤️
Thank you all for your patience & understanding. 🙏 Stay tuned 🙂
One takeaway from this experience that I want to convey is this:
It is okay to rest. 👈

Eating healthy never has to be complicated. Or even as time consuming as you might think it is!
If you’re someone who works long days, is uninspired, is unsure, has time constraints, or another circumstance that barres you from consistently eating healthy... my advice to you is to keep it simple.
Get the nutrients you need and don’t worry about what it looks like, or even how it tastes (ok taste is kind of important to me but...). Make it quick and easy and don’t overcomplicate your meals if you’re short on time/energy/inspiration.
Protein + vegetables + optional grain/starch = 👌👌👌

Check my story to see how I throw it all together and make it work!

Hi 👋 I know how easy it is to be hard on yourself around food in a social setting -- like if you indulge even once, all of your hard work will have been for naught.
🎄🎁🎄
I'm not going to lie to you, this happens to me, too! (She says while eating a piece of chocolate from her Christmas stocking) 👉But the difference is that I know my body👈. And because of this I understand that my body knows best, and even after I indulge my body will tell me what it needs (protein, vegetables, and more water probably), and that this indulgence won't last forever.
🙌
Because I know my body I can trust it.

When you understand *how* to reach a point where all of your systems are functioning at optimal levels, you gain freedom from self-judgement.
🤩🙏
Think about what that would be like. How would your life be different? What kind of person would you be?

My Foundational Body Awareness online course is a GREAT place to start. The course is designed to teach you the true foundations of your body systems in a straightforward, non-complicated way so you can take your first steps to being free of pain, self-judgment, unhealthy eating habits, and feeling like garbage.
🤩🎉🤩
I was insistent on keeping it simple and easy to follow, yet packed with the most crucial pieces of information that give you tools to take with you for the rest of your life. Everything I put into this course is the exact information that helped me transform my self-image and stop being so damn hard on my body. This course is, essentially, what set me free!

With 2020 swiftly approaching you might be thinking about all the ways you want to do things differently for better health, more happiness, and overall enjoyment in your life. If your resolution or newly set intention stems from wanting to be healthier, have more energy, lose excess weight, or just feel *better* physically and mentally, I want to share this solution with you:
👇👇👇
My online course: Foundational Body Awareness!
👆👆👆
This 6-week online course is a combination of education plus a 4-week guided elimination diet so that you can learn why the body works the way it does while simultaneously experiencing changes in your own body during the elimination diet. This combination is a fast track to figuring out just what the h-e-l-l is going on with you, if you’re feeling stuck, frustrated, or at a loss for how to reach your goals and feel more like yourself again.
🙏
Each week you’ll learn about new topics, from digestion and blood sugar, to stress management, exercise, and more. You’ll learn how literally everything in the body is connected to each other, and how you can use that to your advantage and take back control.
💪
I am so excited to share this course with you because it is exactly what I needed when I was “going through it” with my health. Everything I put into this course was crucial, foundational information that took me my entire life to recognize and understand, so I wanted to package it all up in one place to help others that I know are also “going through it.”

Are there foods you couldn’t imagine giving up? 😵
Most people I pose this question to reply with “bread” or “cheese” being the one food they couldn’t see themselves giving up.
What if I told you that if you have intense cravings for, and couldn’t imagine eliminating a certain food in your diet, that you may in fact have an allergy or sensitivity to it? Not all allergies are hives or anaphylaxis! Some of them can be “hidden,” which take longer to manifest, and might manifest in ways that you’d never connect to your food.
Hidden allergies are due to what goes on in the digestive tract! Namely, the small intestine. An irritated small intestine becomes inflamed and therefore less dense, and can allow large molecules of poorly digested food (from the Upper GI) to pass through into the bloodstream, making the gut “leaky.” These molecules trigger the immune system and create antibodies to neutralize the perceived threat, which is what produces the allergy symptoms.

BUT
☝️
If a person’s liver (the detoxification organ) is congested from excess alcohol consumption, blood sugar dysregulation, or otherwise, the allergens are free to roam the bloodstream. .
So - when you ask yourself if there are foods you couldn’t imagine giving up, & you say yes, there’s a *big* chance you’re in dire need of small intestinal healing, along with liver support. 🤓
Sound daunting? I created an online course to help you through this exact process! Learn about how the health of your digestive tract is to blame for your food cravings, your mood, your mental performance… and basically everything else!

What are you supposed to listen to: CONTROL YOURSELF or WHO CARES!? 😓
🎄
With the holidays upon us, you may be getting slightly overwhelmed by the amount of sugary treats, irregular schedules, family events, and travel that have suddenly popped into your life. Stress like this causes us to deviate from our regular eating and exercise habits that can cause us to snack a little extra and exercise a little less and might lead to a little bit of weight gain.
🎄
There's messaging out there that tells you "CONTROL YOURSELF," and there's messaging that says "WHO CARES?!"
🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♀️
But what if you're somewhere in between? It's not so simple to just turn it off and not care if you're not there yet, and it's even more stress-inducing to berate yourself about staying in control around food and exercise.
👎👎
There is a middle ground you can find which allows you to stay centered rather than leaning radically in either direction, and that is your **ability to understand yourself** Not simple, no. But more effective? Yes!
☝️ ☝️
The more you understand your body, the more you'll recognize that a couple extra pounds during the holidays is normal when you choose to take a more relaxed approach, and even further, that it's not permanent! When you understand the way your body functions and how it reacts to the type of food you eat and exercise you do, the less you'll feel the need to harshly judge yourself.
🙅🏼‍♀️🙅🏼‍♀️
Once you understand your body, you'll realize that you're in control.

If you're not quite sure how to do that, I designed an entire online course around understanding your body so that you can stop feeling out of control of the way you feel day to day. 🎉🎉🎉😍

Daily painful bloating was the impetus for my desire to deep dive into nutritional therapy.
I knew if I could figure out why it was happening to me, I could help other people with the same. And if daily bloating and abdominal cramping are a part of your life, you know how much it absolutely SUCKS. So, instead of writing up another long essay about why it drains the life out of you, here are a few things you can start experimenting with to get rid of that god-awful, painful bloating:
👇👇👇
•Chew your food more thoroughly to allow for easier digestion
•Take Apple Cider Vinegar (w/ water) ~10min before a meal
•Take digestive bitters [pictured here] 10-15min before meal to stimulate gastric juices for digestion
•Prioritize whole foods over processed foods
•Stay hydrated to promote bowel motility
•Support the liver&gallbladder with bitter greens
•Give digestive enzyme caps a shot to help breakdown food more thoroughly
•Drink tea with fennel, ginger, licorice, and/or peppermint
•Work on discovering potential food sensitivities & eliminate them (dairy, wheat/gluten, soy, & eggs are some big offenders)
Give one or more of these a try if you’re experiencing bloating and/or abdominal cramping on a regular basis, and get curious!
