Your OB or midwife is essential. But they are not the only support that can make a meaningful difference in your high risk pregnancy — and most women are never told about the others.

A pelvic floor physical therapist before birth can assess whether your pelvic floor is too tight — a significant risk
factor for tearing — and teach you how to fully release it for birth. A Webster-certified chiropractor supports pelvic alignment throughout pregnancy and can help with optimal fetal positioning, back labor prevention, and labor efficiency. A doula provides continuous support throughout labor and research consistently shows doula support is associated with lower cesarean rates, shorter labor, and higher satisfaction. A childbirth educator helps you understand the physiology of labor, the interventions you may be offered, and how to advocate for yourself in the moment.

And a high risk pregnancy coach or online midwife fills the gap that standard prenatal care consistently leaves open — the space between appointments where most of the worry, confusion, and unanswered questions live.

You do not have to navigate a high risk pregnancy with only the support that is automatically offered to you.

You are allowed to build a team.
