TMS Center of Colorado, LLC

TMS Center of Colorado, LLC TMS treatment is:
• Non-invasive, meaning that it does not involve surgery. Each treatment session lasts approximately 20 to 45 minutes.

The TMS Center of Colorado, LLC is a leader in state of the art treatment for Major Depressive Disorder through the use of repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). Providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for the treatment of major depression

TMS is a treatment cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for patients suffering from depression* who have not achieved

satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant treatment. TMS stands for “transcranial magnetic stimulation.”

TMS is a treatment that can be performed in a psychiatrist’s office, under their supervision, using a medical device called Brainsway deep TMS. It does not require any anesthesia or sedation, as the patient remains awake and alert during the treatment.
• Non-systemic, meaning that it is not taken by mouth and does not circulate in the blood stream throughout the body. The typical initial treatment course consists of 5 treatments per week over a 4-6 week period, for an average of 20-30 total treatments. TMS is indicated for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder in adult patients who have failed to achieve satisfactory improvement from one prior antidepressant medication at or above the minimal effective dose and duration in the current episode. What are the benefits and risks of TMS? TMS has been demonstrated to be safe and tolerable. Over 10,000 active treatments were safely performed during the clinical trials.

• No side effects such as weight gain, sexual problems, stomach problems, sleepiness, or dry mouth were seen during trials
• There were no negative effects on memory or ability to concentrate

The most commonly reported side effect related to treatment was scalp pain or discomfort during the treatment session. This side effect was generally mild to moderate, and occurred less frequently after the first week of treatment.

Both are non-invasive, medication-free treatments that use magnetic pulses to target brain areas linked to mood and mental health. Standard TMS uses a focused coil to precisely stimulate a single region (often linked to depression).

In contrast, Deep TMS uses a specialized H-coil to reach deeper, broader brain networks — expanding treatment options for conditions like depression, OCD, and smoking addiction.
No surgery. No anesthesia. No downtime.

As our understanding of mental health evolves, so does the science behind treatment. Research increasingly shows that conditions like depression, OCD, and addiction involve disruptions across interconnected brain networks—not just isolated brain regions.

At TMS Center of Colorado, we utilize BrainsWay Deep TMS technology, which is designed to stimulate broader neural circuits associated with mood regulation and behavioral health. Backed by extensive clinical research and FDA-cleared protocols, Deep TMS offers physicians another evidence-based option for patients who may not have achieved adequate symptom relief with traditional approaches.

We invite healthcare providers to explore our growing library of clinical validation resources, peer-reviewed research, and real-world case studies to learn how Deep TMS may fit into your treatment pathway.

Mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, OCD, and addiction don't stem from just one area of the brain—they involve disruptions across interconnected brain networks that influence mood, focus, and behavior.

Deep TMS by BrainsWay was designed with this understanding in mind. Using advanced H-Coil technology, Deep TMS reaches deeper and stimulates broader brain regions than traditional TMS, helping target the networks involved in emotional regulation and cognitive function.

By supporting communication between key mood-related networks, Deep TMS offers a non-invasive treatment option for individuals seeking relief from depression, OCD, and other mental health conditions.

TMS therapy has helped many people find relief from depression and other mental health conditions without surgery or medication. Now, a newer approach called Theta-Burst Stimulation (TBS) is making treatment even more convenient.
By delivering magnetic pulses in a pattern that more closely mimics the brain's natural rhythms, TBS can provide similar stimulation in significantly shorter treatment sessions than traditional TMS. Researchers are also exploring its potential for a growing range of mental health and neurological conditions.

Many people living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) are familiar with therapy and medication, fewer have heard of Deep TMS.

Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS) is a non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain associated with OCD symptoms. Treatment is performed in an outpatient setting, requires no surgery or anesthesia, and patients remain awake throughout the process.

For individuals whose OCD continues to significantly impact daily life despite traditional treatment, Deep TMS may be another option worth considering.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) can sound intimidating, but the treatment is much simpler than many people expect.

TMS uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. It does not involve surgery, anesthesia, or implanted devices. Patients remain awake during treatment and can typically return to normal activities afterward.

TMS is most commonly used for depression when medications haven't provided enough relief or have caused unwanted side effects.

For many people, the biggest surprise about TMS is that it's a non-invasive, outpatient treatment, not the complicated procedure they might have imagined.

While antidepressants help many people manage depression, side effects can make treatment difficult for others.

Common side effects may include:
- Fatigue
- Insomnia
- Weight changes
- Nausea
- Sexual side effects

If medication side effects are impacting your quality of life, other options may be available. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-drug treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood regulation.

For some patients, TMS may be an option when antidepressants are not well tolerated or have not provided adequate relief.
