I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Colorado with many years of experience. I typically help clients with sadness, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, family dynamics, communication, self discovery, healthy relationships and personal development. I welcome everyone and am particularly passionate about supporting the LGBTQ community and their families.

I’m an open book 📖 And I do the work ✅

I’ve been in therapy essentially non stop since I was in grad school. I was drinking w**e every night trying to sleep and realized hey maybe this is unmanaged anxiety 🧐 and maybe I need some help.

I’ve had multiple therapists since then, all of whom have been amazing. I’ve taken anti depressants. I’ve done countless mushroom and ketamine journeys for healing. I’ve done many other medicine experiences and non medicine healing experiences like Breathwork and sound healing that have cracked me open and helped heal parts of me.

I’ve done the work and I will keep doing the work. I value healing and processing. I don’t just preach about it.

Being a client makes me a great therapist cuz I GET it. I get how hard it can be. I also get how it works when you take the time to look at yourself, and your life, and feel the feels through to the other side.

Underneath so much of what happens in our relationships is this deeply human attachment questions: Can I reach for you? Will you respond? Do I matter? When things get hard, will you stay?

I just returned from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) training, a model based in attachment theory. EFT emphasizes that we are wired for connection 🤍 So many of the patterns we see in relationships: chasing, withdrawing, shutting down, getting louder, going quiet, all make so much more sense when we understand them as attempts to protect the self when connection no longer feels safe.

Many of my clients laugh and roll their eyes when say say “ugh us this about my childhood and my parents AGAIN?” Often yes! We learn really early on how to be close.

Then, as adults in therapy we can learn to both protect ourselves BUT ALSO learn to be close to safe others 🤍

I love this work so much and feel do good snd skilled incorporating attachment models in individual, couples, and psychedelic sessions 🤍
