I used to think something was wrong with me. A small comment, a random commercial, a memory out of nowhere — and I’d be in tears. Turns out alcohol had been turning the volume down on my emotions for years, and sobriety finally turned it back up. Nobody tells you that healing feels like falling apart before it feels like anything else. If you’ve been crying more, feeling more, snapping more — you’re not broken, you’re finally awake. Your nervous system is catching up to your sobriety. Be patient with yourself. 🤍
