It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Being chronic means I had to take the summer and adjust to a new job, decompress from a very intense legislative season, and take care of myself. Tomorrow begins the pregame to the 2027 legislative season here in Colorado so I’m heading up to Denver (a 2 hour ride) and bringing my latest prints, including the rare disease card that symbolizes cystic fibrosis.

When you have a , everywhere you turn there seems to be
someone with advice. Family, friends, and strangers tend to think that your illness has an easy fix. Others think you just aren’t trying enough. Sadly, this wears people down and
causes them to themselves and push themselves too hard. It can even cause the person to damage their body more because they ignore very real limits. Next time you make a suggestion, be sure to ask if that person wants your suggestion. They may just need to vent and the best thing you can do is listen.

Back at it. Filled more envelopes and handing them out tomorrow at the State Capitol. I gave some to a Representative I’ve never met and she was excited to get them! Apparently they are floating around the Capitol and being shown off! It’s working for sure.

Haven’t posted in a bit. These cards were designed as a chronic illness awareness campaign for my work in the community. I’m hopping on the bus to Denver this morning (2 hour ride) to talk to elected officials about protecting access to medications for those with rare diseases. I’m not funded, so all of this is because I feel it’s really just THAT important. I’ve got Tinticular and Spectrol (forgot to order rounded edges because Brain Fogger) to hand out today! I’m also testifying on a medical debt protection bill.
