Lip filler at 25 and lip filler at 55 are not the same treatment and they shouldn’t be 💋
As we age, it’s not just that the lips “lose volume.” There are structural changes happening.
The lips can become thinner and flatter, the border can become less visible, the border can lose definition, and the distance between the nose and upper lip can appear longer as the tissues change with age.
So when treating mature lips, simply adding volume isn’t always the answer.
Where the filler is placed matters ✨
How much structure we create matters✨
And understanding what has changed with age matters even more✨
In this before, the focus was on restoring volume and shape to the lip itself and improving the amount of pink lip that was visible.
And this is an important distinction: we treat the anatomy we see, not the age on someone’s chart.
Some mature lips need support. Some need volume. Some need a combination and sometimes filler isn’t the right treatment at all.
That’s why a good lip treatment starts long before the syringe. It starts with understanding what changed, what didn’t, and what actually needs to be addressed.
That’s the part of lip filler I wish more people knew about.
