A night in Dallas turned into a life-or-death moment — and one person stepped forward.

Emma Dilley, a student at Dallas Baptist University, came across an unconscious man in the Oak Lawn area.

There was no time to hesitate.

Even though she had never performed CPR on a real person before, she relied on what she had learned years earlier in school.

She started chest compressions.

Staying focused, she continued until first responders arrived and took over medical care.

In situations like this, every second matters. Immediate CPR can help maintain blood flow and increase the chances of survival until professional help arrives.

What stood out wasn’t just the action — it was the decision to act despite uncertainty.
