WHAT IS A STEP STUDY?
Maybe you’ve heard us talk about a “Step Study” and thought…
What exactly is that? And is it for me?
A Step Study is where we take the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles of Celebrate Recovery and actually work through them… one step at a time.
It’s more than attending a meeting.
It’s a small, confidential group where you have the opportunity to slow down, dig deeper and allow God to show you what’s underneath the hurts, habits and hang-ups you’ve been carrying.
In a Step Study, you’ll begin to:
• Take an honest look at your life
• Identify patterns that keep you stuck
• Work through past hurts
• Take responsibility for your own choices
• Learn what forgiveness really looks like
• Make amends where appropriate
• Build healthy relationships and boundaries
• Grow closer to God
• Experience healing and freedom in areas you may have carried for years
And you don’t have to have an addiction to need one.
Some people walk into a Step Study because of anger.
Some because of grief.
Some because of codependency.
Some because of anxiety, control, shame, resentment, relationship struggles or childhood wounds.
And some just know…
“There are things in my life I’m tired of carrying.”
A Step Study isn’t about fixing yourself overnight.
It’s about giving God access to the places you’ve spent years trying to manage on your own.
You come as you are… and you walk the journey with people who are doing the same.
That’s a Step Study. ❤️
