Amy Meek Family Therapy

Amy Meek Family Therapy Our services range from individual, family, & couple's therapy to child, adolescent and adult therapy Finding that balance is so essential.

In life, it appears that we struggle in various ways of trying to either find or maintain a balance. One must grow and continue to assess and evaluate emotionally, spiritually, professionally, interpersonally, and in so many other dimensions as well. I believe that God brings us together to learn from one another. We all offer strengths, and building from those is often more benefial than only foc

using on the negatives. Bringing up our motivation, confidence, while lowering our reactivity and defenses can significantly assist us in progressing and learning from one another. A start is more awareness of what we want to change. A viewpoint of what we can take responsibility for or action to do versus deciding what others should be doing instead, will provide us with an achievable outcome.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re taking a moment to slow down, connect, and support one another — because mental health matters for everyone. 💚

Join us for Spirit Week as we celebrate emotional wellness, reduce stigma, and encourage conversations that remind people they are not alone. Whether it’s showing up in comfy clothes, wearing green, or simply checking in with someone, small acts of support can make a meaningful difference.

Let’s create a culture where feelings are welcomed, support is encouraged, and healing happens in connection. 🌿

You can be the one everyone relies on…
and still be struggling.

You can be capable, responsible, and “high functioning”…
and still feel overwhelmed, alone, or tired.

Struggling doesn’t make you weak.
And hiding it doesn’t mean it’s not there.

You deserve support—even if no one else can see what you’re carrying.

We often move through difficult seasons on autopilot—doing what needs to be done, holding everyone together, and ignoring our own signals.

This is your invitation to pause and check in.
Not because something is wrong—but because your well-being matters.

If this resonates, you’re not alone.
Many of us are carrying more than we let on.

Share this with someone who might need a moment of softness today.

If this season feels heavy, you’re not imagining it.
Stress accumulates quietly—especially when we’re holding space for others while trying to keep ourselves steady.

These slides are a reminder to pause—not to fix, not to perform—but to notice.
Notice your body.
Notice your breath.
Notice what you’re carrying that may not be yours to hold.

Gentle awareness is often the first step toward relief.
You’re allowed to slow down here.

Pause and Check In

Today, notice the tone of your inner narrator.
Is it guarding you from danger that’s real—
or keeping you from something that could help you grow?

Fear often shows up disguised as protection:

“Don’t try—you’ll fail.”
“If you let go, everything will fall apart.”
But curiosity opens the door to possibility:

“I wonder what I might learn if I try.”
“What if things turn out better than I expected?”
Your inner voice matters. The more we notice its tone, the more we can shift from fear to curiosity—and step into growth with compassion.

What does your inner narrator sound like today?

Whose story are you living?

Sometimes the beliefs we carry aren’t really ours.
They might come from:

Family expectations
Cultural scripts

Old wounds or past experiences

The core message is this:

You get to pause.
You get to ask, “Is this really my story—or one I picked up along the way?”
You get to decide what story you’ll write next.
Healing begins when we stop living out someone else’s script and start choosing the narrative that feels true, freeing, and aligned.
