Hearing is about more than just volume. It’s about staying connected to the people, conversations, and moments that matter most.

At Sound On Audiology, we provide personalized, evidence-based hearing care for our community. From comprehensive hearing evaluations and hearing aids with real-ear verification to tinnitus treatment, cochlear implant services, pediatrics, and hearing protection, we’re here to help you hear better and connect more.

As an audiologist who is Deaf and wears bilateral cochlear implants myself, hearing care isn’t just my profession, it’s something I understand personally.

Did your child recently fail a hearing screening?

A failed hearing screening doesn’t always mean your child has permanent hearing loss, but it does mean follow-up is important. Things like fluid, ear infections, wax, or hearing loss can all affect screening results.

At Sound On Audiology, we provide comprehensive pediatric hearing evaluations to help determine what your child is hearing and whether any additional follow-up is needed.

🏈 Football season means more than watching the game — it means getting together.

The game is on, the family is gathered around, someone’s talking from across the room, and there are three conversations happening at once.

You can hear everyone talking… but you’re struggling to understand what they’re saying.

The Kansas Association of the Deaf is excited to partner with the Wichita Wind Surge for Deaf Community Night during Deaf Awareness Month!

📅 Date: Thursday, September 10, 2026
📍 Location: Equity Bank Park – Wichita, KS
🎟️ Tickets: $10 per ticket (discounted rate & reserved seating behind the dugout)

This special event is open to all members of the Deaf community, along with your families and friends. The Wichita Wind Surge is helping make this an accessible and welcoming event by providing:

ASL interpreters throughout the event
A special welcome recognizing the Deaf community
Deaf-themed in-game activities and trivia
The ASL National Anthem

Children approximately ages 5–18 may also have the opportunity to participate in the Field of Dreams and High Five Tunnel experience, where they can:

Go onto the field before the game
Meet Wind Surge players and receive autographs
Stand on the field during the ASL National Anthem
Return to their seats to enjoy the game with their families

As an added bonus, September 10 is Thirsty Thursday, featuring $3 drinks throughout the evening for adults.

Back-to-school is the perfect time to make sure your child's hearing is ready for the classroom.

If you checked two or more items on our hearing checklist, a comprehensive hearing evaluation may be beneficial. Early identification of hearing loss can make a significant difference in communication, learning, and overall academic success.
