Shout out to China Garden in Derry for helping us arrange our biggest Lunch Bunch outing yet! 🥡🎉

28 personal orders, all packed up for our residents to enjoy as takeout - and China Garden's staff hand-labeled every single meal to keep it organized. Above and beyond service!

But just look at those smiles. Our residents were absolutely thrilled with their Chinese food treat, and it's moments like these that make Lunch Bunch such a special outing.

A huge thank you to our incredible activities team - Diana, Sam, and Lindsay - for going above and beyond every single time to make our residents' days brighter. 💛

Soak up the sun!☀️ Our residents and staff had a blast at our summer barbecue today. Everyone was so happy to grab some food, soak up the sun and enjoy each other's company.

Sending Dennis home with a smile! 👋🇺🇸

After a short stay with us following time at Parkland Medical Center, Dennis headed home this week - and he left our Pleasant Valley team with a note we won't forget. He shared that he'd never stayed in a rehab facility before, so he had nothing to compare it to... but he called our care "above and beyond," not as a saying, but as a way of life for our staff.

That's the kind of feedback that reminds us why we do what we do. Wishing you continued strength and health at home, Dennis - you'll be missed around here!

Not only did John miss zero shifts this month, he also stepped up to pick up extra hours when needed. His dedication keeps our Skilled Nursing Unit running smoothly every single day.

Twinning with the best! 👯‍♀️❤️ Resident Lucille fell in love with Administrator Meghan's shirt - so she placed an online order to match! Thanks to our wonderful business office team, residents can shop online whenever they'd like (hello, next-day shipping 😄). Lucille asked for a twin day, and Meghan happily obliged. This is what community feels like at Pleasant Valley!

🌸 Pleasant Valley was proud to sponsor the 2nd Annual Five Senses Tour, hosted by our friends at Community Caregivers! This beautiful garden event brings the community together while supporting a partner we work closely with to send our short-term rehab patients home with the equipment they need for a smooth recovery.

💕 Congratulations to our June Compassionate Caregiver of the Month, Stevens! 💕

Stevens is a valued member of our hardworking housekeeping team at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. He was nominated not only for his outstanding work ethic, but for consistently going the extra mile for our residents. Stevens even purchased new summer dresses for one of our residents and paid for another resident to join an outing to the movies!

His kindness and compassion make a real difference here, and we're so lucky to have him on our team. Congratulations, Stevens - thank you for all that you do! 🎈

This weekend, resident Maya did something truly special - she wrote up a heartfelt letter of appreciation for our staff, then brought it around to fellow residents and family members to sign before hanging it up in our front lobby for everyone to see! 💛

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Thank you, Maya, for spreading so much love and gratitude throughout our community!
