Sometimes a girl just needs a little reset. ✨
Today I stepped out of the massage room and into the treatment room for a DiamondGlow facial with Shannon at 360 MedSpas!

My biggest goal? Smoother skin texture. DiamondGlow uses a real diamond tip to exfoliate, vacuum away dead skin, oil, and debris, while infusing professional-grade serums into freshly exfoliated skin. The result? Brighter, smoother, healthier-looking skin with no downtime.

We finished with a relaxing red light therapy mask... and yes, I absolutely had to see the container full of everything that came out of my face. 🤣 Equal parts gross and satisfying!

Huge thanks to Shannon for the much-needed refresh. As someone who spends all day taking care of others, it was nice to take an hour to take care of myself. If you've been thinking about giving your skin a little love, I definitely recommend treating yourself! 💙

Can we all just appreciate my brother Joe for a second?!

He came over and helped me hang all of my shelves and plant hangers (and anatomy frames), and WOW... this room finally feels complete. He was patient with my "a little higher... no, wait... maybe over here..." 😂 and somehow made my vision come to life.

I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Thank you for helping make Wandering Sage feel even more like home.

What a weekend! 🇺🇸

Between traveling, hosting cookouts, chasing kids to summer sports and the pool, long car rides, fireworks, and this Iowa heat... I have a feeling a lot of us are feeling it today.

If your neck is tight, your shoulders are up by your ears, or your low back is reminding you that you overdid it, don't ignore it.

A few appointments unexpectedly opened up this week, so if your body's been asking for a reset, I'd love to help.

I honestly wasn't sure this little Peperomia Hope was going to make it in my massage room.

The lighting is super low, room stays cool, and my history with trying to raise plants is very poor😬

But... she's putting out new growth!! And so fast it took me by surprise!

I caught myself smiling this morning because I realized that's kind of the whole point!

Not everything thrives in constant action, overstimulating brightness and chaos. Sometimes growth happens in quiet.

Sometimes it happens when we finally slow down enough to breathe and chill.

I get to see that every day!! Not just with this little plant, but with the people who walk through my door carrying stress, pain, tension, and everything else life has piled onto them. Bodies are pretty incredible when you give them the right environment.

Apparently... plants are too. 💚

There's actually a reason I pay attention to things beyond just the massage.

This time of year, we spend our days rushing from one hot parking lot to another. Our bodies are overheated, our minds are running a mile a minute, and we don't realize how much tension we're carrying until we finally stop.

That's why my room is intentionally kept cool and dim. It's why I chose an extra-wide, zero-gravity Oakworks table that lets your body completely relax. It's why I use the SOVI sound system, where you don't just hear the music—you actually feel the gentle vibrations throughout the table.

None of those things massage your muscles.
But together, they help tell your nervous system, "You're safe. You can let go now."
And once that happens... that's when the real work begins.

Especially during this stretch of extreme Iowa heat, I'm grateful to have a cool, quiet space where you can simply breathe for a while.
