We were challenged by LifeFlight Des Moines and Mitchell County Regional Health Center for the Star of Life challenge! *️⃣

The symbol honors Emergency Medical Services, with each of the six points representing a critical stage of emergency care: detection, reporting, response, on-scene care, care in transit and transfer to definitive care.

Every step used to be painful for Ross until he had knee replacement surgery by MercyOne Orthopedics Care.

"I had a real issue with my left knee; it was bone on bone," Ross said.

Now, he's living a pain-free life, walking without a limp.

"My surgeon was very precise with his explanation of what was going to be done during pre-op therapy, surgery and post-op therapy. I'm very happy with my decision to have my left knee replaced at MercyOne," Ross shared.
