Alliance Chiropractic Center The mission of the Alliance Chiropractic & Acupuncture Center is to educate and provide our patients with the best care.

Dr. Alex Van Wyk is a Des Moines Chiropractic Physician and Diplomate in Acupuncture with more than 30 years experience in alternative health care. He is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has completed extensive postgraduate training in acupuncture and nutrition. Dr. Van Wyk has been serving the Des Moines area for over 25 years. Dr. Van Wyk is nationally board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Born and raised in central Iowa, he holds true to Midwestern values. He is a third generation chiropractic physician, following his father and great uncle in the chiropractic profession. Dr. Alex and Sharon welcomed two new additions to the family! Oliver is a gray tabby and Bandit is a masked white and gray kitten. They are 12 weeks old and were part of rescue efforts taking kittens from life on the streets. Both are adjusting to the good life indoors and keep Dr. Alex, Sharon, and all their visitors entertained. What a blessing!
