Did you know we do FREE lactation home visits through EveryStep?

I recently met with an amazing mama who was determined to provide her baby with human milk after being misinformed about how milk production works and pushed toward formula before she was ready.

She told me she had tried pumping before with no luck. So we built a pumping schedule together and found pumps that actually fit her goals and lifestyle.
Today, she’s producing 10 mL per session and growing. That’s what relactation progress looks like!
Check out her output with her Motif, which gives her the freedom to move around the house while she pumps.

With the right information and support, so much is possible. So proud of this mama.

Hey friends! Welcome to my business page! My name is Brooklyn, and I’m honored to serve families as a Birth Doula through my own, Brooklyn Birth Co.

As a mother who has experienced both loss, and multiple unmedicated births myself, I have found purpose in serving as a birth assist for other mothers like me, who may need the advocacy and support that I once needed!
I understand both the beauty and intensity that can come with bringing new life into the world. Those experiences ignited a passion in me to walk alongside other women as they navigate pregnancy, labor, birth, and their early postpartum journey. 💕

My approach is holistic, heart-centered, and rooted in faith. I believe birth is more than medical —it’s a sacred, and transformative experience. Whether your birth plan includes an epidural, an unmedicated birth, or something in between, my role is to support, encourage, educate, and empower you EVERY step of the way!

I truly I strive to serve with a servant’s heart, creating a calm and supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and confident in your choices. Every family deserves compassionate support, and it would be an honor to be part of your journey 💕💕

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending time with the amazing Divine 9 of Des Moines. Good music, good food, and even better laughs.

I am a PROUD member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated by way of the Phenomenal Pacific Region. I have so much appreciation for our Midwest region for welcoming and supporting me over the past 10 years. The love shown means more than words can express.

Great job to all involved for making this a wonderful event.

Last Day!! Big takeaways from an incredible experience:

Peri- and menopause finally getting the spotlight it deserves. Gut health and diet being taken seriously as foundational medicine. Technology evolving to center the consumer, not just the system. Brands expanding their vision to embrace holistic health. And communities being built that don’t just survive on prescriptions, but actually thrive through education, access, and intention.

I’m leaving with gems and connections that will carry me far beyond this room.

The conversation around food as medicine and nutritional health is growing, and I’m here for every bit of it. Can’t wait to keep learning, keep advocating, and keep pushing this work forward.

We are nearing the end of enrollment for the Doula Project, and what a season it has been.

As we continue serving enrolled clients, we are celebrating the certification application wins from our Spring 2025 cohort and looking ahead to the expected certifications of both our remaining 2025 and Spring 2026 cohorts. Wild Olive Birth remains a trusted space for doula training and mentorship, connecting expecting families to resources and services, and delivering evidence-based education through our childbirth education program, Belly & Beyond.

I am proud of what we have built alongside so many community members and partners. The growth of reproductive health and perinatal support across Iowa, rooted in safety, respect, and community, is something worth celebrating every single day.

So, what is next?

Over these next few months, we are focused on deepening connections and expanding partnerships. We will continue our monthly Belly & Beyond sessions and keep building. Look for more movement and meditation offerings coming soon. Our ongoing services, virtual doula clinic - Olive Haven, placenta encapsulation, doula training and mentoring, and community programming, remain available to the families who need them.

There is so much good work ahead. We are grateful for everyone who has walked alongside us and for those still to come.
