Live by Liz - Real Food Full Life I coach, support, and inspire women who desire to be healthy, happy, and whole. It is never too late to make life enhancing changes. Trust me, I know!

I managed both peri-menopause and breast cancer (10 years ago) holistically! I would love to help you! Many years ago I lost my longtime partner, companion, and friend of 21 years to cancer. She was 47 years old. It became my mission and my passion to make good of a tragic situation. Most certainly I've learned that everything we put in and on our bodies significantly affects our health. It is never too late to make healthy changes. I did at age 50, and I've never felt better. I can help you, and we'll have fun along the way! Over the last 15 years, I've made numerous changes to my nutrition and lifestyle. Some of these changes including quitting bad habits. Thankfully, the human body is amazingly resilient, and given half a chance, will heal itself. My point is that each of us - with baby steps and just a little effort and guidance - can be happy, feel healthy, find our passion, gain energy, vitality, youthfulness, and inspiration - the list goes on! Trust me if I can do it, you can too! Could one conversation change your life? Contact me to schedule your free one-hour health consultation. You'll be glad you did!

I haven't always known this, but our pets need to eat well, too!
This is a roll of turkey (seasoned with turmeric), organic butternut squash and broccoli added, all cooked in the only oil I use, organic unrefined coconut oil.
Once cooked, it's all blended. As you may know, Roscoe had a prior health incident just over three years ago. Since then, his esophagus has been constricted. I now spend half my life making his food. πŸ˜† You read why, but do I mind? Absolutely not! The other foods I now blend for him are the Pure Being brand of dry and canned foods. All of these items, except for the coconut oil (though they carry a small jar of it), I buy at Aldi. On occasion, I blend a can of salmon, also from Aldi. In addition, each morning, I add ground flax seed, organic chicken broth, (both from Aldi), and his liquid collagen. This may give you an idea of how he's living so long and looking so good! That and his loving spirit! (he still eats 3x daily!)
Kayce, on the other hand, unlike Benson was, and whom I always fed well, is very finicky, and will only eat canned chicken food from Aldi. Not one I'd choose, but what he likes. He used to eat the Pure Being dry food, but stopped that, and now eats the Purina One Tender Selects Blend with real chicken as the #1 ingredient, veggies, vitamins, and minerals. It's a pretty good and nutritious dry food. I have Bridget and Wally to thank for that!
Any questions, feel free to ask!

I love leftovers! I also love cooking, especially on a peaceful, rainy morning. I use the Never Any brand of bacon (no hormones, steroids, and vegetarian fed) from Aldi. It is so good! I use Almond or another GF flour when I bake (which isn't often, because then I want to eat it all)! I won't show the finished version of this blueberry pancake, as it wasn't pretty (trying to flip that thing?!). πŸ˜† Very tasty though. Enjoy your Tuesday!

I've often heard people say they don't have time to make breakfast, but then may do a fast food drive through instead. I can assure you, making a quick and nutritious breakfast is easier and likely takes less time! Following outdoor coffee time with Roscoe and Kayce, I look forward to breakfast! Today's was this: Good for you protein and healthy fats in the yogurt and almond butter, with yummy fruits added! So good and so easy! πŸ˜‹

With the leftover roasted chicken, yesterday I made my chicken salad, of all things. πŸ˜† Bonus for Roscoe, all skin, chicken, and goo I didn't use, I put in the blender for him, then add it into his meals.
Once deboned and chopped, I seasoned it with turmeric, organic pepper, and Himalayan pink salt (the best). I then added chopped organic celery, and greens of spinach and arugula, sauerkraut, chopped kosher dill pickles, and some extra pickle juice. I was low on Vegan Mayo, so I used my favorite organic Creamy Caesar dressing, plus some organic mustard. I prefer it more tart than sweet, so don't use grapes or any other fruits in it, but could be easily added. Other than the pink salt and organic mustard, all ingredients are from Aldi, my favorite place to shop and has been for many years. Once all stirred together, I put it in a covered glass bowl and let the flavors all meld together. Anyone who has tried my chicken or egg salads, has always loved them. I basically make my tuna and egg salads the same way. All delicious and nutritious! (unless you're vegan or vegetarian, but a lacto+ovo vegetarian like my friend, Ariane, can eat my egg salad!) πŸ˜‹

Yesterday's breakfast included a homemade organic roasted chicken and avocado with vegan mayo, toasted sandwich on sourdough bread, plus Greek Vanilla Yogurt, and all the good fruit! πŸ˜‹
Years ago before I started changing my life, I wasn't much of a breakfast eater. Today, I can tell you, eating a nutritious breakfast is the best way to start my day! A blend of protein, healthy fats, and fruit, eaten in that order, can change your life!
All of this follows the Cold Brew coffee (Stok), I've been enjoyably consuming every morning for 10 years! It is approximately 70% less acidic than other coffees. I tried making my own several times, but could never get it to be as good as the Stok (green label) brand. I warm mine on the stove, add unrefined virgin coconut oil, cinnamon, and honey, plus an organic vanilla cream. Sometimes I sprinkle in turmeric first, or use some Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Grass-fed Protein. Try it all, you'll love it! πŸ˜‹ I can promise, eating well can change your life! I'm living proof! More to this story later! Enjoy your day!

"For all of modern medicine, it's been known that surgical masks don't block viruses." And other crucial information you likely didn't know!

April 18, 2022, Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle voided the CDC's national mask mandates on airplanes and public transit. What does this mean for the rest of us?
