a space for connection, education, and community🫶 Hi, I'm Jacquelyne, I'm a Birth and Postpartum Doula+ Owner of Wild Roots Birth Collective, as well as a student Midwife. I am doing my part to change the way society looks at pregnancy/postpartum care. A lot of mental health issues could be resolved in postpartum, when a mother is properly supported, allowed to rest, heal and bond with their baby, without having to deal with the day to day duties, and stresses, the first few weeks after giving birth. Mother's need to be held and pampered during this time. As a Doula, I am here to give her all the care, help take care of baby, and do them mundane things, so she can get the rest and heal. As a student Midwife, again this is where my passion lies. I am looking forward to being able to offer holistic prenatal care, homebirths, postpartum care, newborn care and women's wellness.

IF you know me..you know...My heart has always been deeply rooted in POSTPARTUM. 🧡🌿

I absolutely love birth work, but there is something so incredibly beautiful about caring for a mama after she has brought new life into this world...especially when you walked beside her in birth! This is why I love continuity of care, we walk alongside you in pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. You receive the same intentional care and support.

My philosophy at Wild Roots Birth Collective has always been centered around slow, intentional, deeply rooted postpartum care. Inspired by ancient cultural traditions and Ayurvedic practices, where mothers are nurtured through warm, nourishing foods, herbal teas, gentle bodywork with warming oils, rest, and allowing their bodies time to heal.

Today was one of those postpartum visits that reminded me exactly why I'm so passionate about this work. 🥰

I arrived with homemade soup, fresh bread, lactation bites, and a few goodies for mama. We enjoyed a warm herbal foot soak, gentle hand massage while she nursed her baby, breastfeeding and pumping education, and lots of conversation about her birth, recovery, and this beautiful new season of motherhood.

And before I left, she told me she felt like a new woman. ❤️

THIS is what postpartum care means to me.

It's so much more than caring for a newborn or catching up on household chores. It's creating a space where a mother feels nourished, seen, heard, supported, and genuinely cared for.
Postpartum deserves to be SLOW. A time of renewing your body, soul, and mind.

You didn't just give birth to a beautiful baby. You went through your own birth, too... the birth of becoming a mother.

And that mother deserves to be nurtured, held, and cared for just as much as the beautiful baby in her arms.

So slow down, mama. Give yourself grace. Snuggle your baby, soak up the sunshine, nourish your body, and allow someone else to care for YOU.

This is my heart. This is my passion. This is the deeply rooted care Wild Roots was built upon. 🧡🌿

𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪?? Herbal Foot Soaks in postpartum encourages relaxation, rest, nourishes the body and nervous system regulation in the fourth trimester. It makes the best gift. 🫶

Recipe:
1/4 cup Lavender
1/4 cup Calendula
1/4 cup Rose Petals
1/4 Cup Chamomile
1/4 cup Epsom Salt
1/8 cup Rosemary Leaf

My philosophy at Wild Roots Birth Collective is deeply rooted care, which comes from ancient culture, and Ayurvedic practices, hands on bodywork with warming oils, nourishing foods and drinks, herbal teas, herbal sitz baths, encouraging rest, sitting out in the sunshine with your feet in the grass while you feed your baby, lots of snuggles and rest, allowing your body to heal. There is something so beautiful in this type of care. 🧡🌿

Postpartum should be slow, a renewing of your body, soul, and mind. You created a whole new life, and given birth, not only to this beautiful baby you hold, but you went through your own birth.... of becoming a mother. So give yourself grace, allow yourself to rest, allow someone else to care for you. Trust me... your body will thank you later! ❤️

POV: When your grandbaby comes to play at The Motherhood Lounge with her mommy Amy McMinn , Nana ana and papa. 😍

It's not often this little one gets to come play, so we took advantage if the time. And she definitely did NOT want to leave. Haha. 😂

I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! I took full advantage of rest and relaxation, after the week I had. 😅

The last 48 hours have been a whirlwind! I am feeling a little exhausted this morning.🙃😂

3 births in 1 day, 2 postpartum visits, and a 10 hr overnight shift with one of our beautiful mama's!

I pulled into our lake community and went to sit by the water to drink my coffee and enjoy some fresh air, sunshine and this gorgeous view! 🧡
