Dr. Jack Moreau opened it up when he first practiced veterinary medicine back in 1989. Dr. Moreau has since retired and Dr. Alexandra Carter has stepped into his shoes. The practice consists of care for small animals such as dogs and cats with occasional rabbits and guinea pigs.

When “Nothing Seems Wrong” Isn’t the Whole Story 🐾❤️
Meet sweet Daisey, a 10-year-old pup who came in for her yearly vaccinations. Her owner hadn’t noticed any signs that something was wrong, and her physical exam didn’t reveal anything concerning.
But we offered wellness bloodwork—and her owner said yes.
When the results came back, they revealed that Daisey was diabetic. 🩸
Dr. Bailey was able to call her owner, explain the results, and create a plan to help Daisey feel her best and hopefully enjoy more happy, healthy years together. 🐶💕

The hottest & most humid days may still be ahead!
Keep your pets safe:
🐾 Avoid the heat — Walk early or late when it’s cooler.
🔥 Check the pavement — If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws!
💧 Keep fresh water available at all times.
🚗 Never leave pets in a parked car — not even for a few minutes.
🌳 Provide shade & cool areas when they’re outside.
🦟 Stay current on flea, tick & heartworm prevention.
🌡️ Know the signs of heatstroke — heavy panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, confusion or collapse = EMERGENCY!
The calendar may say summer is over, but Louisiana’s heat didn’t get the memo! 😂☀️ Keep those furry family members cool and safe! 🐶🐱
