Oftentimes, parents may be unaware that their child’s sleep is less than optimum. When we stop going in to check on them, we tend to think, well, they’re sleeping! But there are different depths of sleep, and if your child is mouth breathing or snoring, they likely aren’t getting into the very deep restorative levels of sleep. These deep levels are where the gold lies: emotional regulation and memory consolidation, and when the deep sleep is missed over time, behavioral presentations can begin to surface.
