Sometime this week, I’ll pour my 10,000th bar of soap for 2026 👏🏼

When I first started making soap years ago, I never imagined I’d one day be counting a year’s work in thousands of bars 🧼

It’s a quiet milestone, but one I’m deeply grateful for 😊

Thank you for making it possible for me to keep doing this work with my own two hands. Every purchase, every conversation, every kind word, and every visit to the shop or website has played a part in this journey 🙏🏼

Ten thousand bars isn’t just a number to me. It’s a reminder that small, consistent work—pouring 56 bars at a time—adds up to something pretty remarkable 💪🏼

The shop may not open for a few hours, but the workday often starts long before the lights come on.

Quiet mornings at the kitchen table have become one of my favorite parts of owning a small business. A cup of tea, planning, inventory, orders, a little bookkeeping... and a moment to gather my thoughts before the day begins, all with my family near me 😊

When you shop small, you’re supporting so much more than the hours you see us behind the counter. You’re supporting the early mornings, the late nights, the dreaming, the problem-solving, and all the little details that help keep the doors open.

I’m grateful to have work that I truly love—even on the spreadsheet days 💛

And today feels like an especially good day to say thank you 🙏🏼 Six years ago, I took a leap and launched Nature’s Embrace Soap Company. It has been one incredible journey, and I’m so grateful you’ve chosen to be part of it.

Six years ago tomorrow, I pressed "publish" on a little soap business that began in the basement of our home 🧼

If you had told me then where this journey would lead, I definitely would not have believed you 🤗

There have been seasons of incredible growth, seasons that stretched me more than I thought I could handle, and seasons that reminded me why I started making soap in the first place 💫

Today, I'm less focused on how many bars I can make or how quickly the shelves can be filled. And am even more interested in creating things with intention, building community, and making products that genuinely care for people and the world around us 🌎

To every customer who's shared a post, stopped into the shop, placed an online order, encouraged me when business felt hard, or simply believed in what I was building...

Thank you 🙏🏼

Lately, life has been inviting me to slow down🐌

I’ve been spending more time outdoors, more time uninterrupted with my family, learning the names of plants I find myself walking past, and finding joy in simply noticing what’s growing around me — like my soon to be 10 year old youngest child 🥹

This vase is filled mostly with Goldenrod that I gathered from our property. Until recently, I knew very little about it. Now, as I find it in an overabundance on our land, I also find myself wanting to learn everything I can 🌼

One of the things I love most about my spirit is that it has always been rooted in curiosity. Sometimes that curiosity becomes a new soap, a new medicine for my family, or something entirely unexpected. Other times, it’s simply the joy of learning 🤗

This winter, I hope to spend some time studying the incredible plants that grow right here around me—including Goldenrod—and seeing where that inspiration leads 💫 Maybe it becomes something for the shop someday... or maybe it simply deepens my appreciation for the natural world. Either way, it feels like time well spent 🌱

I have a feeling this slower season is teaching me just as much as any busy one ever has.

3 weeks 😅 That’s how long it took me to get poison ivy after moving to the woods in mid-June!

For me, poison ivy spreads quickly and has often meant a trip to the doctor’s office. Over the years I’ve learned a few things: keep the area cool, keep it dry, and whatever you do… try not to scratch!

One thing I always reach for is our Pine Tar Soap. I wash the affected area morning and night—and sometimes in between if needed 🧼
