Diamond Willow Assisted Living: Detroit Lakes We offer small intimate community settings of 8-16 residents per home and site based nursing. With that comes the belief that bigger is not always better.

Here at Diamond Willow we take pride in our person centered care model which is uniquely different from most diagnosis based care systems. Each setting is designed to be intimate with fewer residents per suite, allowing us to have smaller communities to promote our person centered care model in a truly calm and comforting home-like environment. This affords us the ability to provide one on one att

ention in a more positive, healthy atmosphere to each and every individual. It is because of this model that we offer the industry leading staffing ratios of 1:5 during awake hours and 1:13 overnight. We also recognize that moving multiple times later in life is everything short of desirable. As care needs increase and evolve our person oriented program is designed to provide varying levels of care in a personal suite from arrival through end of life, highly reducing the need to change facilities in the future.

A little late getting these posted, but the memories are worth sharing! ❤️

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our residents with our annual Summer BBQ! Good food, sunshine, smiles, laughter, and most importantly, time spent together. ☀️🍔

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the day so special for our residents. We are so grateful for our amazing residents, families, and staff who make moments like these so meaningful.

Our residents gathered for a fun social featuring refreshing mocktails, a delicious meat and cheese tray, and, of course, plenty of great conversation and laughter. Sometimes the best memories are made simply by sitting together, sharing stories, and enjoying each other’s company. Cheers to a wonderful Friday at Diamond Willow!

Today they generously volunteered to come and host Bingo for our residents. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and a little friendly competition as everyone enjoyed a fun afternoon together.

We are so grateful for community partners like the Boys & Girls Club who take the time to brighten our residents’ day. Thank you for spending the afternoon with us—we can’t wait to welcome you back!
