Alice Marie Beauford

Alice Marie Beauford, was born on July 22, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan. She passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, in Southgate, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, support, and an enduring warmth that drew family and friends close.

Alice was a woman whose life was richly woven through varied careers, having dedicated many years to the fields of healthcare, automotive, and fast food. Yet, beyond her professional endeavors, it was within the walls of her family that she truly shined. Known for her welcoming spirit and supportive nature, Alice was the central figure who brought everyone together. Her best trait, as remembered lovingly by those who knew her, was her unique ability to unify her family in love and joyful connection.

A graduate of Roseville High School, Alice’s wisdom and giving heart were the cornerstone of her personality. She found great joy in cooking and cherishing moments surrounded by her loved ones, which reflected her nurturing soul and the importance she placed on family bonds.

Alice’s proudest accomplishment was living fully through the successes and joys of others, consistently placing her family’s happiness above all else. She was not just a wife, mother, or grandmother, but a pillar of strength and compassion, deeply present in every single stage of her family’s lives. She gave even when she couldn’t, and poured her heart out with comfort to anyone who needed it. Alice’s peaceful departure left those closest to her with lasting memories of her love and guidance.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Steven Beauford; her sister, Karen Pouget; and an extended family that she held dear, including her sisters-in-law Deanne Holmes and Sandra Beauford; brothers-in-law Solomon Beauford Jr, David Beauford, Jeffrey Beauford, Tracy Beauford, Dennis; her daughter Orchid Pouget; son Denard Williams and daughters- and sons-in-law Sharon Williams, Shannon, and Latoya. Her family is further blessed with thirteen grandchildren including Shyann, Briane, Kam, Dashawn, Aariah, Denard Jr., Marcell, Shandell, Chance, Lajewel, Steven, Leonitis, and Azalea, as well as seven great-grandchildren, Aiden, Lagaci, Jayden, Sheldon Jr., Noah, Marcell Jr., and Bastian; all cherishing the indelible mark she made on their hearts. Alice’s memory also lives on in the hearts of her deceased brother, Danny Pouget, and brother-in-law, Kevin Beauford, who are remembered fondly.

Friends and family will gather to honor and celebrate Alice’s life with services held at Thompson Funeral Home - Dexter Chapel, 7643 Dexter Avenue, Detroit, Michigan. A visitation will take place on June 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service on June 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Her final resting place will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, Michigan, where a burial service will occur on June 11, 2026.

Alice Marie Beauford will be deeply missed, but her spirit remains forever intertwined with the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, unity, and generosity will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.

June is your Isaiah 60:22 season. When the time is right, the Lord will make it happen.
The prayers you've whispered in the dark.
The dreams that feel too big for your hands.
The timing that never seems to align.
The waiting that's worn you thin.
You've been faithful in the small things, even when no one was watching. You've held onto hope when circumstances screamed otherwise. You've planted seeds in seasons that felt barren, trusting that God sees what you cannot.
The enemy wants you to believe that delay means denial. That silence means no. That your dreams were too bold, your faith too naive. But God's timing isn't your timing, and His ways aren't your ways. What feels like a pause is actually preparation. What looks like a closed door is just the wrong door.
June carries a shift. Not because the calendar changed, but because your season of preparation is complete. The foundation has been laid in the hidden places. The character has been built in the waiting. The faith has been refined in the fire.
You may see missed opportunities.
He sees perfect timing.
You may see delays.
He sees divine alignment.
You may see closed doors.
He sees the right door opening.
You may see your limitations.
He sees His limitless power working through you.
Your breakthrough isn't just coming—it's here. The same God who parted seas and moved mountains is the God who whispers your name. The same hands that formed the stars are the hands that hold your future.
When the time is right, the Lord will make it happen.
