Thank you to everyone who joined us at O’Hair Park for the inaugural DWIHN Mental Health Awareness Walk last Saturday and helped create a day filled with connection, support, and community.
From our DWIHN team members and provider network to our community partners, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the Detroit Police Department, vendors, volunteers, DJ Rue, and SMART, this event was made possible by people who believe in showing up for one another.
Attendees had the opportunity to connect with local resources, meet service providers, enjoy music and wellness activities, and learn more about the support available throughout Wayne County. Along the walk route, participants also stopped at the DWIHN 7 Mile Integrated Behavioral Health Campus, which will soon open its doors to the community, to learn more about its development and offerings.
Most importantly, the day served as a reminder that no one has to navigate mental health challenges alone. Together, we can reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and connect people to the care and resources they deserve.
Thank you to everyone who walked with us, last Saturday and every day.
