Plum Health DPC works with Van Buren Public Schools!

All of the Van Buren employees, spouses, and dependents have access to our Plum Health direct primary care clinic in Van Buren, Michigan, and when these employees use the service, their reliance on high-cost, insurance-based services like the urgent care, emergency department, and specialists decreases.

This leads to better access to care at a lower cost for the school district and their employees. It's a win-win-win for everyone involved.

Happy Birthday to Dr. Michael Rozwadowski M.D.!

Dr. Mike is an outstanding Internal Medicine physician at our Plum Health Royal Oak office. He combines deep medical knowledge with compassionate care for his patients, taking the time to truly listen to their concerns.

Last week, he also played an important role in making our Ripe for Change event a success. We are grateful to have him on our team and thankful for the difference he makes every day for our patients and our organization.

Ripe for Change.

Today reinforced something I've believed for a long time: the healthcare market is ready for change. Employers are ready. Employees are ready. Patients are ready.

Bringing together more than 100 people at the Jam Handy today made one thing clear—we're not alone. It was inspiring to see benefit advisors, physicians, employers, CFOs, business owners, and healthcare innovators in one room having honest conversations about how we can improve access to care while lowering costs.

I'm incredibly proud of our team at Plum Health DPC . Every day, they deliver affordable, accessible, and excellent primary care. Today, they also helped bring together a community that is committed to building a better healthcare system.

Thank you to our outstanding speakers and everyone who attended. Most importantly, thank you to everyone willing to challenge the status quo and work toward a healthcare system that delivers more value, better access, and better outcomes.

For everyone who is joining us at our Ripe for Change event tomorrow, there is free parking on East Grand Boulevard and in the parking lot adjacent to the Jam Handy event space:

Jam Handy's primary parking lot is located at 2884 E Grand Blvd, behind St. Philip's Lutheran Church. There will be a large sign on E Grand Blvd just to the east of Jam Handy directing guests where to enter.

Plum Health's Ripe for Change event is Thursday, June 25th, 2026 from 8:30 am to 1 pm.

We are excited to host Danny Seidman, DO, MPH, Shane Cerone, and Benjamin John as our featured speakers, and we have well over 100 attendees signed up - doctors, benefit advisors, HR leaders, CFOs, and business owners.

At Plum Health, we talk a lot about access, affordability, and lowering the total cost of care.

But none of that matters without great people delivering excellent care to our patients every single day. 💜

One of those people is Nicole Pearson, NP, at our Lansing office.

Nicole has been with Plum Health for over 2 years, and she consistently delivers compassionate, thoughtful, high-quality care to her patients. 🩺

Yesterday, our Director of Member & Client Experience, Joey Brender, RN, spoke with a patient from a school district who is losing coverage this summer.

The patient called to ask about pricing options to continue care with us after their employer coverage ends.

After the conversation, they decided to stay with Plum Health as an individual member. Why?

Because they said the care they receive from Nicole is “well worth it.” 🙌

That means a lot to us.

Even when patients change jobs, retire, or lose employer-sponsored coverage, many choose to continue their membership with Plum Health because of the relationships they’ve built with our team and the excellent care and service they receive.
