What if this summer was the moment you chose to live longer AND live better?

Small daily choices like walking, eating fresh foods, and staying connected can shape how we age and how well we live.

At DAAA, we know longevity isn’t just about years—it’s about quality of life, independence, and joy.

💬 Taylor’s Take: We are all aging, and our daily choices can shape how well we live in those later years.

Take a walk
Eat fresh, seasonal foods
Stay active and connected
Prioritize your health

You don’t have to do it alone. DAAA is here with resources, classes, and support every step of the way.

Visit DetroitSeniorSolution.org to get started; and sign up for Taylor’s Take, our CEO Ronald Taylor’s monthly perspective on aging in our community and beyond.

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of resilience and the ongoing pursuit of equity.

At , we recognize that while we all age, not everyone has aged with the same access, opportunity, or support. That’s why our work remains rooted in advancing equity, strengthening communities, and ensuring older adults and caregivers can age with dignity.

The future we build must work for all of us, because .

As temperatures rise, staying cool isn’t just about comfort, it’s about safety. Older adults and individuals with disabilities are especially vulnerable during extreme heat.

Let’s take care of ourselves and each other.

-Cooling centers are open across Detroit, including recreation centers and Detroit Public Library locations
-Stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity, and spend time in air-conditioned spaces
-Check on neighbors, older adults, and loved ones
