September is National Gum Care Month

These unsung heroes help anchor your teeth, protect the bone beneath them, and serve as a frontline defense against harmful bacteria.

Signs of gum disease can include:
🩸 Bleeding when brushing or flossing
🔴 Red, swollen, or tender gums
😮‍💨 Persistent bad breath
🦷 Loose or shifting teeth
⬇️ Receding gums

These can be warning signs that your gums need a little extra attention.

And your gum health may be connected to more than just your smile. Research has found associations between periodontal (gum) disease and several health conditions, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, pneumonia, pregnancy complications, rheumatoid arthritis, and cognitive decline.

Taking care of your gums is an important part of taking care of your overall health. ❤️
