Today we're celebrating our Smart Sharks!
Our older school-age kiddos are growing into leaders, independent thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and confident individuals.
Through STEM challenges, teamwork, homework support, and engaging activities, our Smart Sharks continue to discover new strengths and abilities.
We're thankful for the teachers who make sure our older kiddos have a place where they feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn.

💛 FAMILY CHALLENGE FRIDAY!
This weekend, we're challenging our DCDC families to spread a little kindness!
Ask your child to choose three helpful things they can do for someone else.
Maybe it's helping with laundry, picking up toys, making a card for someone, or helping a sibling.
Then ask them how it felt to make someone else's day a little easier.
Small acts of kindness can make a BIG difference! �

👻🕷️💜 Spooky Sensory Fun with Our Little Boo Crew! 🎃🧡

Who knew Halloween could be so SPOOK-tacular?! 👻💕 Today, our little pumpkins enjoyed some outdoor fun with their friends while exploring our Halloween Sensory Bags! 🥰🍂

We created three different spooky surprises for our little hands to explore! 🖐🏼✨

👻 Ghostly Fun: Our fluffy cotton ball ghosts gave our babies a soft, squishy sensory experience!

👀💚 Monster Eyes: Our googly eyes floating in green-colored water had our little explorers curious as they squished, pressed, and watched the eyes move around!

🕷️💜 Spooky Spiders: Our purple sensory bag filled with water, vegetable oil, and creepy-crawly spiders created a fun experience as our babies explored the different textures and watched everything move!

Our little learners had an absolute BLAST! ❤️ Through all the squeezing, patting, touching, and exploring, they were strengthening their fine motor skills, developing hand-eye coordination, and discovering the wonderful world of sensory play! 🧠✨

Little hands, BIG discoveries, and a whole lot of spooky giggles! 👻🎃 We love watching our babies learn through play, especially when we get to enjoy the beautiful outdoors with our friends!

Sensory play is BOO-tiful when you're learning together! 🕸️💜🧡

❓💛 THE WHY… Why do we encourage children to try things on their own?
Because independence doesn't happen overnight!
When a child works to put on their shoes, solves a puzzle, puts away their belongings, or tries something challenging, they're learning patience, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
Sometimes it's faster for adults to do it for them, but giving children time to try is an important part of their growth.
At DCDC, we celebrate the effort just as much as the accomplishment. 💛
That's the WHY behind encouraging independence!

The Brainy Badgers enjoyed their time at the library today. The students demonstrated their ability to listen, follow directions, and maintain a quiet demeanor. They thoroughly enjoyed the two stories, "Creepy Carrots" and "Crankenstein." Afterwards, they had the opportunity to create their own Frankenstein hats. It was a delightful experience, and we look forward to returning to the library soon.

🐸💛 FROG STREET FOCUS!
This week, our Pre-K learners are exploring Helpful Me!
Through stories, conversations, dramatic play, and classroom activities, our kiddos are discovering all the ways they can be helpful at home, at school, and in their community.
Being helpful is about more than completing a task. It's about learning responsibility, kindness, teamwork, and caring for others.
We love watching our little learners discover just how much they can do! �
