Dickey Ray Nicholson, 74, passed away July 31st, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tulsa, OK.

Born August 18, 1951 in Bartlesville Oklahoma to Doyle and Twylah Nicholson, he was an unexpected twin, and as he said “has been sneaking up on people ever since!” The youngest of 6, he was always the kid giving his parents a hard time.

He graduated from Sooner High in 1969, and went on to get a degree in Electronics Technology from United Electronics Institute in 1971.

He worked at multiple places in his younger days, including TG&Y, Burger Chef, Bartlesville Community Center, and others. He dedicated 36 years of his life to working at TRW Reda, later known as Schlumberger or SLB. He retired in 2009 and enjoyed being the King of his domain.

An avid actor, he starred in around 50 productions by the Bartlesville Theater Guild (now known as Theater Bartlesville). His last role was with his daughter, Hailey in 2011. Playing Mr Sousa in the student production of “Lizzie Borden”, opposite Hailey as Emma Borden.

In 2011, his wife Kristen had a massive stroke, and he took on caring for her until her death in 2024.

His greatest achievements would have to be his children. His son, Julian, of Savannah, Georgia. His daughters Michelle, Kristina, and his youngest (and caregiver) Hailey.

Gregory “Greg” Brian Tidwell, 68, of Bartlesville, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at his home.

Greg was born September 12, 1957, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Eugene Tidwell Jr. and Madeleine (Stiger) Tidwell. Greg lived in many places in his younger years, as his father was in the Army. He loved baseball and played on a team called Diamond Bar. Greg graduated from Newark Memorial High School in 1975. He and Theresa were buddies in high school. They would ride the train to Oklahoma, and he would jokingly stand on his head. He was always funny.

Greg enlisted in the Army and served from 1979-1985. He had a green thumb and worked in the Lawn Care department at Walmart and Lowes. He loved gardening and woodworking.

Greg married Linda Marcoux in 1977 and later divorced. Greg met Ashley Lewis while they were working at Atwoods and they married in 2005. They later divorced.

He was a humble, kind, and good person. He had the best sense of humor in the world. His children had a few nicknames for him, including Johnny Appleseed and Big Greg. His family meant the world to him and his greatest desire was for all of his children to be happy. A devoted father, Greg took his family on camping trips, road trips and overnight adventures. They all have wonderful memories.

Greg is survived by his daughter Jennifer and Derrick Lavenant; son, Gregory Tidwell; stepdaughter, Brandy Marcoux; daughter, Theresa and Lane Burroughs; and daughter, Sarah Tidwell.

Patrick H. Roark was born May 31, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, north of the river. His parents were Harry Bruce Roark and Edith Evelyn Rose Roark. He had one brother, Michael Roark, who has remained his life-long friend.

Pat and his wife of 62 years, Louise, have three children, Mathew, Elizabeth, and Dillon. Matt and his wife, Janette, have three children, Brad, Sarah, and John. Sarah and her husband, Cooper Ennis, have two children, Evie and Oaklynn. John is engaged to Arin Bailey. Liz and her husband, Todd Cone, have five children, Henry, Emma, John, Mary, and Elise. Dillon and his wife, Rachel, have three children, Bella and Scott, and a son who passed away, Patrick Charles Roark. Family was very important to Pat. His family knew they were deeply loved, supported, and prayed for daily.

Many of Pat’s childhood memories include his brother, Mike. They literally walked to Avondale Elementary School uphill both ways due to the hilly terrain. They rode bikes over an old train trestle bridge across the Missouri River to the electric train store. They played in the apple orchard and tended their dad’s half acre garden. Pat could outrun anyone in the neighborhood.

At North Kansas City High School, Pat ran track and was part of the Purple Hornets All-State Relay Team in 1959, setting the school record. He excelled in school, keeping himself busy by doing extra work in the back of the trigonometry book. He rewrote the...

Carole Yvonne Bishop, 77, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 25th, 2026. She lived all of her adult life in Bartlesville, OK until her last 3 ½ years when she moved to Rowlett, TX to be with her brother.

Carole was born on July 11, 1949, in El Paso, TX to Marvin and Fran McDaniel. She graduated from Erick High School in Oklahoma before attending Bethany Nazarene College. From there she moved to Bartlesville, OK where she married the love of her life, Larry Bishop. Together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage, raising a daughter and building a home filled with faith, love, and laughter.

Carole retired from working for the Phillips Petroleum Company. She worked in their accounting department where she got to spend a lot of their money, which made her very happy. Outside of work, she was very involved in her church primarily in the music ministry where she sang in the choir, sang solos, and even directed a very popular Easter performance called “The Promise of Hope”.

A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Carole was a faithful member of the Bartlesville Church of the Nazarene for many years. In addition to working in the music ministry she worked with the youth, served many meals, helped with many events, and cared for those in need. Her greatest desire was for others to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
